Happy V day a day late!
At work we do a secret Palentine game for a week. We first sign up, draw names, keep it secret and send that person Valentine related gifts all week. Price can vary from cheap to as axpensive as you want. We at the zoo are a poorer lot, so candy and small stuffed animals abound.
This year I drew a man, and someone I hadn't a clue about. I believe in really spoiling someone and treating them well, since I would want the same. So even though this person was a complete stranger, I still made their day-every day. The topper was when I sent him an ostrich egg. He was really surprized and reciprocated by sending ME a really nice gift bag full of goodies!
So I guess the moral to this little dity is, be kind, 'cause it does come back!
The lady who drew my name did know me, and I too enjoyed the goodies every day. I gave her a big hug when she revealed herself.
So the week is wrapped up with a party at lunch. We all go around the room, surprize our person w/ one last big gift and indulge in pizza and candy. Even as adults we still enjoy a group V day party!

Just kidding if any one lived near by I would be happy to give them to you as I am the one that stays home all day and has to look at them and not eat them. I like baking just not eating.

Oh, the cyber calories I have consumed today! 
Hope everyone had a happy valentine...I'm still waiting to City Boy to come home and surprise me with something wonderful. It wouldn't have mattered much until I saw all those wonderful bouquets wives across blogland were getting! 
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm about to sneak off to Sunshine's house and swipe some of those divinely delish looking cookies!

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!
I always make heart shaped pancakes, with raspberry sauce, for my boys on Valentine's morning. I serve them with juice squeezed from blood oranges instead of the usual ones - so it is red!! My guys really get a kick out of it. A big bouquet of red tulips on the table, too. I also give them chocolates after they get home from school, & we make heart shaped cookies. (But Sunshine, they don't look as fancy as your beautiful cookies! Wow!) My favorite part of the day, however, is when my dear little ones give me the Valentines they have made for me........more precious then anything in the world! I just love them, & have saved every single one over the years. |

Happy Valentines day everyone!! I doubt we will do something special..but it will be a nice family night at home. I have cupcakes in the oven for youngest daughter's class party (I am room mom) so I will have a fun fourth grade afternoon! The kids were SO excited when they left for school this morning with their valentine mailboxes...Dalton's is a castle, Erin's a book, and Travis' is a basketball court..they did well!

Happy Valentine's to all of you...and Nancy, I did just what you said, I ate chocolate for breakfast....
Hubby had a box of chocolates on the stove this morning when I came downstairs, so instead of cooking, I ate my favorite. They were Hazelnut Chocolates. YUMMY!

We're stuck inside because the fire department cutoff our side of the street with "caution" tape due to downed power lines, but how romantic to sleep in, have a leisurely breakfast and be stuck inside on Valentines Day!!!

Happy Valentine's day to all of you! All my beautiful farmgirl valentines made it one of the best ever! And my boss gave me a tiny heart shaped cake with my name on it! It's so cute, I don't want to eat it! But it's CAKE! And I have COFFEE! So it's a GONER before lunch! :D
