Welcome to the Sisterhood! As Sister #93, I can say with experience, that this is truly a sisterhood. If you apply yourself, you will find a friend here. If you really apply yourself, you will find many friends here! May your day and your life be filled with sunshine and farmgirls from now on!

Welcome, Debbie! I always enjoy working on my merit badges. Some of them have guided me to places I never thought I would go. So cool that your daughters are going to work with you. Welcome!!!

Welcome to the sisterhood Debbie.
So fun that you and your girls are working together on badges. Oh and the Front Porch I think is listed as "VIrtual Porch Sitting - Come Join Us!".

Hi Jana, I sure will keep you in the loop. And I agree all the badges do look really good. I mostly handsew when I do sew, so (ha ha) the sewing badges will be a bit of a challenge for me.And quilting will most likely be a challenge as well. I tried paper piecing hearts years ago. My friend Jo was helping me. Then we moved away and I lost contact with her. We moved back and she had moved out of state. I can't coordinate colors and patterns really well. She did that for me. So my quilts will most likely look really funky. All your badges you want to do sound AWESOME..I'm 44 and hoping I'll be able to do them all..lol..

Funny Debbie, it is my husband who is pushing going green here in our house, but I am very sensitive and it has taken years to find which products I can use without reactions. Keep me in the loop with your going green badges as I have them on my list too. All merit badges look great, but I am going to start with things I already do like Shopping Green, Recycling, and Know your Roots. If time allows I would also like to accomplish; Self-sufficiency, Recipes, Cheesemaking, Canning, Bee Good to Your Mother Earth, Herbs, In the Garden, Putting Away for Winter, Let's Get Physical, Sew Wonderful, Quilting, UFO's

I'm looking forward to doing them. I was never in Girl Scouts and the older 2 of my girls were in Girl Scouts for a short time. The rest never wanted to join. So Valerie (13 year old, will be 14 in Feb) saying she wanted to be a Farmette is REALLY EXCITING for me..And Sarah (10) wants to be a Young Culitvator. This is giving me hope to have the kind of life I've dreamed about. Now to get the "older" 5 interested in MaryJane's Farm would be AWESOME. I think my oldest Briana (24 and new mama to 1) would be a really good fit cause she was always the "country girl" in my group..Even looking back at pictures of them growing up, she always had the braided pigtails and country looking clothes..

I was thinking of the Going Green ones. We've been changing over household products little by little to greener alternatives..Can't wait to get the substitute for bleach. Hubby will be a hard sell, but I think he'll adjust.
