Just put a few pictures on my blog, wasn't planning to but then had to much coffee again.
Very dreary day here today, ice and rain. Washed the bathroom curtains and hung up some different ones. Cooked a chicken roaster, got a few things ready for the mail for tomorrow. I really miss it when we don't get mail, but not a very nice day for the mailman to be walking around anyway. Going to go and start reading some of the Home to Harmony books that BONNIE AND AUNT JENNY sent me, and figure out what needlework thing I should do next.

Nancy

I enjoyed looking at your embroidery too. I like the backing you put on. I see that have placed another picture of the girl in the snow. That is such a nice photo. Seems so carefree. I guess I can put myself into the picture. You can make you own story out of it. Thanks for sharing!

Bonnie, please do show us your quilt when you are finished.

If I see paper dolls and like them I can't resist buying them. I like cutting them out, but don't really play with them. My grand daughters do. If I did play with them it would be in secret.

LOVE the paper dolls, Nancy Jo! Do you collect paperdolls? Most importantly, do you play with them? :D If they aren't already cut out, I feel too guilty to cut them out myself, since I don't want to lessen their value.

Oh,boy...YOU in a pool hall!!!
The farm was in Waterloo. The thruway cuts down through it, and the Outlet Mall sits on one of the fields. Also the Waterloo rest stop is on the property right near the houses. Someday if I ever get the nerve (which I probably wouldn't) I love to knock on the door and ask for a tour...the family moved out before I was born.
I ironed on a tractor/barn/cow picture. I think it will turn into a pillow for my dad for father's day.

Bonnie,
What is the embroidery pattern that you ironed on? Can't wait to see your log cabin quilt when its done.
Liked your farm picture on your blog. Where was that farm? To bad it couldn't have stayed in your family, but more often then not that is the way it goes.
Yea, I love making all these embroidered things that serve no purpose what so ever, but its fun and as my aunt would say, "IT KEEPS ME OUT OF THE POOL HALL".

I love your embroidery Nancy Jo! Is that about the hundredth time I've told you that!? It's icy here too, glad I didn't have to go out. I have been cutting log cabin strips and ironed an embroidery pattern on an old feedsack/hotel towel. I think I am going to make pillows out of it.
