I was reminded by Denise about Tasha and thought I will get my books out and look at them again. Such an interesting lady, hated to see a few years ago that she flew away to heaven. So much good information in these books and the pictures are beautiful. I posted a picture of the books. Of course she wrote many children's books too and did Illustrations for many others.

I Love Tasha Tudor too. You really need to go on her Web Site. Just Google her. I have bought stationary, magnets and
books from the website.

I got a really cool Book on the History of Tasha Tudor at My Favorite Antique Mall a couple of years ago. She was such an
interesting Lady. For you girls that are just discovering her...you will enjoy the Search.

Blessings and Hugs,
Peggy

I had never heard of Tasha Tudor until I saw this thread. Sounds like she was a neat person. I've put two Tasha Tudor books from Amazon on my Christmas list to my son - the Heirloom Crafts and new Tudor Family Cookbook. If I don't give him suggestions, I sometimes get weird items. LOL! Last year it was a funny "grammatical error" t-shirt.

I just ordered another Tasha book, "Drawn from New England". Looked like an interesting one. I might order the cookbook too, that also looked to be pretty interesting. I need all the help I can get with cooking.

Dawn I received my Tasha Tudor Family Cookbook yesterday that I ordered from Amazon. It's beautifully done. You will enjoy it when you have yours.

In the Introduction it said she kept Spam in her pantry to have with eggs for breakfast. I grew up eating Spam and still do occasionally but I would have never dreamed Tasha would too.

I am on the waiting list for Tasha Tudor's grandsons book, "The Tasha Tudor Family Cookbook" : Heirloom Recipes and Warm Memories from Corgi Cottage. He lives next door to her home and is preserving it. These are her family "receipts" that she made all the time. I can't wait for it to come in at my library.

Thanks everyone for reminding me about her books. I have a 3 year old grandniece, who's birthday is the day before Thanksgiving. The children's books will make a wonderful gift for her.

I have been a fan of Tasha Tudor since my children were little and we read so many of her books from the library. A few years ago, I visited the little Tasha Tudor Museum in Vermont which was very sweet and interesting. To actually go to her original home in the summer, you have to order tickets way ahead of time as they sell out quickly. I had a friend who went there last year and said it was so charming and just like the photos you see in her books.

She was so dear. I adore that she had Nubian goats (as do I), and loved Welsh Corgis (so do I)!

Nancy, I love Tasha Tudor. I have so many of her book's. I love the life she lived and her beliefs. We were so lucky, we stopped at the Bennington, VT Museum and saw so many of her original paintings on exhibit there. They were wonderful. Now I have to go and get my books out and look through them all again!!

Darlene I thought I was the only one that hadn't heard of her. I looked her up on Amazon and wanted to know more so I ordered her cooking and garden books. Gotta play catch up.
