Posted - Sep 02 2016 : 06:14:56 AM Just another thing I'm pretty sure I need, or at least like to have. I have several around the house and put them to use. Looks like a really nice day here today, better get moving while my energy level is in gear. Think I'll give the bedroom a good cleaning today, curtains and all. Nancy Jo

Posted - Sep 07 2016 : 07:41:09 AM Not sure off you all know this but, I buy a lot o f old wood bowls and wood utensils, I just love them! Some are a bit dirty so I use Wood Butter to clean and shine them, I buy the wood butter from Sherry Buck on her daughter's Etsy store. You can find her on Etsy under markiebuck. They make and sell beautiful treasures, so check them out and look for the Wood Butter. It also works well on dry hands and cubicles, it is all natural! The ingredients are Beewax & Mineral Oil.

Posted - Sep 06 2016 : 06:50:54 AM Nancy your wooden bowl is beautiful. For over thirty years I had my grandmother's wooden bowl that she made biscuits in. She kept it filled with flour covered with a tea towel. She mixed the biscuits in the center of the flour and never messed up the surrounding flour. I tried it when I first got the bowl and made the biggest mess - never tried it again. When I moved to a much smaller house I gave the bowl to my oldest sister.

Posted - Sep 06 2016 : 06:32:59 AM Nancy Jo, It's a beautiful bowl! Love wood bowls. I don't have any old ones, but there are several of different sizes and shapes, and different woods in our house. My husband is a woodturner and has made LOTS of GORGEOUS bowls! CJ

Posted - Sep 02 2016 : 12:03:37 PM I would also love to own some old bowls like yours. You can do so many different things with them as you have discovered for yourself Nancy Jo. And they add a Warmth to a home that just makes you feel like you want to sit next to the bowl and enjoy a warm drink and a book. LOL At least I get that warm glow feeling from your bowl with the lamp and pinecones in it. Makes me feel cozy! Where have you found most of yours?
