Hi Ladies, My sister, Terry, was just given the dreaded information that she has Breast Cancer. She doesn't have all the details yet. Tomorrow she goes to see a surgeon. She is handling it quite well. She knows God knows all about it and will take care of her. It's still a difficult time for her and her family though. She would love prayer and lots of it. If anyone would like to send her a card of encouragement, she would love them. Please email me for her address if you want to send her a card. We are very close and I don't know what else to say right now. Thanks in advance for the prayers.

Here is my sister's Thank You to all the MJF Ladies that sent her cards and said prayers for her.

Dear MJFarm Ladies,

Just wanted to Thank You all for the cards you sent me. I'm done with radiation, doing well now, and praying it never comes back!

I was overwhelmed to think that complete strangers would take the time to send me cards and prayers. They meant more to me than you'll ever know. Some brought laughter. Some brought me to tears and wrapped me with the warmth of comfort. Believe me, we need both!

Someone once noticed that when storms cross a large field, the forceful winds uproot and topple over a tree that stands alone, but the roots and branches of a group of trees grow together and become strong enough to withstand the violent winds of the harsh storm. That must be what GOD meant, in his word, when He said to pray and strengthen one another...and That's just how I felt.

Again Thank You and may GOD comfort you all,
Brenda's Sister Terry

As I was talking with Terry, she held her arms up and said she was thinking about how huge the group of trees would be and how far the roots and branches reached because she had cards from all over the country from coast to coast and top to bottom. We both laughed and smiled at the wonderful gift GOD has given us. I, too, am very Thankful to all of you.

Oh... SO thankful to God to hear that she will not need chemo, Brenda. Our cousin is going through that right now, and it is... there are no words. The radiation isn't a picnic, but I am so, so happy to hear she's doing well with it. I am keeping her in my prayers, for sure. Looking forward to hearing great things as she progresses with treatment. Give her a hug for me! Hugs - Nini

My sister Terry started her radiation treatments yesterday. She may be able to have accelerated treatments. Meaning not having to go for as many times. Anywhere from 30 on up. Everyday for a half hour each. She is doing quite well so far. God has been so good to her. She is suppose to keep stress out of her life as much as possible during her treatments. That can be easier said than done. She sure has appreciated all the cards she has received. Thank You to all that have prayed for her and sent her cards.

She got the official notice that she won't need chemo. She is so glad of that.

My sister is so overwhelmed and appreciative of all the prayers and cards from Farm Sisters. She tells me each time she gets another card. She is thrilled to know that people that don't know her are so willing to pray for her. She wants to write a Thank You for me to post. She has had more appointments this week and has another 5 appointments next week. She is doing quite well through everything though. The radiation treatments haven't started yet. She is told they will make her quite tired. Will keep you all informed as things progress. Thank to each of you from the bottom of my Heart.

I just had mine done the 2nd. They now offer a new 3D mammogram. It gives even better pictures. It is the kind my sister had done. It cost an extra $35 out of pocket, but it is well worth the money because it shows so much more. I didn't even let the technician finish telling me about it. Yes! was my answer. Terry is doing quite well. She has another Doctor appointment on Friday. Will let you know what is next as soon as I can.

Brenda, that is good news. No lymph node involvement means a good prognosis. Prayers continue.

Wonderful news!! She had her surgery today. It went well and the Doctor was able to get all of the cancer. It did not go to her lymph nodes. She is home and able to be in her own bed tonight. God has been so gracious and good!!! We don't know how people without God can manage to get through things like this.

Thank You!! to all of you for Praying for her and sending her cards. She will have a while to heal, but is so happy for the results.

Thanks again and lots of Big Farm Girl Hugs to all of You,

Yes it does seem like a blur, but we are very grateful God is moving this along quickly. Everything is falling in to place. Oh how wonderful and gracious God is. Couldn't survive without Him!

To add to my sister's concerns are her teeth. She is in the middle of a root canal and has another tooth that is causing her pain. She's hoping to get something done with it before Wednesday. At least to relieve the pain. As she says, I can't seem to have anything happen to me unless it's several things all at once. Why can't I be like other people, one thing at a time. LOL
