So beautiful Nancy and Tasha. I love the simplicity of the pattern and the embroidery is lovely. I also think your chimney sweep is adorable. Imagine forgetting something so cute! Lucky you!!

Thank you girls, funny RHONDA. TASHA, glad you like it, I was a little worried, I envisioned you coming to my house with a gun. All that embroidery gave my fingers a chance to heal from using the glue gun.SANDY, we seem to have have alot of Taber fans here. My aunt gave me all her books and a letter from her written to my aunt. I had fun fixing that little chest on my blog, I just glued anything on there that had to do with flowers or gardens. Cut most of it from magazines. SUNSHINE, I don't do even a small percent of the work you can get done, you are the champ!

Lovely apron, Nancy. What a nice gift to have to embellish! I was looking through your blog posts and noticed that we have a few things in common....I also have one of those corrugated cardboard chests and have planned to decoupage. Just haven't decided on a theme yet. And I LOVE Gladys Taber. There is another unrelated book I picked up at a thrift store called, That Quail, Robert. It's a charming story about raising a pet quail, and in the book they speak of visiting Gladys Taber. Everyone must have been neighbors in the same community.
