Our local Blue Heron has discovered that our little creek is loaded with itty bitty frogs...

I am surprised he hasn't (yet) brought a date yet...lol!

then he took a walk over to our driveway... our cats could care less about him or the frogs! lol!

The herons and cranes are indeed beautiful, but we have many pond owner friends who lose their beautiful koi to those predictors so they are not welcome in our yard.

Here's a pic of one that was in my back forty a few years back. We know it is spring when they show up.

I am not to keen about the long dark winters,,, but will to deal with it to be with my grandkiddos...
We are actually toying with the idea of being 'Snowbirds',, Summer in Spokane and Winters in a warmer climate...
If all goes according to plan,, we will be moving back to Spokane in late summer 2017...
Stay Tuned! lol!

Glad you get to go visit your Family. Are you still thinking about moving back there?
I really don't miss it. It is hard for me to even make myself go visit once or twice a year.
My Mother is still living but everyone else is gone...from my family. I have one step-daughter
there...but we aren't that close...to go more often. My husband and I when the kids were younger
made that trip to Spokane at least 8 times a year...and I could drive it blind folded I'm sure.
I don't like SNOW either and that is why we left Spokane 31 years ago. I tried to get my mom to
move here but she wouldn't do it when dad died 16 yrs ago. Now she has no one there but a DIL at
Elk and 2 friends. She has out lived everyone.

Hugs,
Peggy

Grace...I love Heron and Engrits (spelling looks wrong). Being up here in the Wet and Wild PNW
we get a lot of them. Well enjoy yours girl! Glad your cats could care less about him. He may
