Hey CeeJay,,, yep, it's a sad day here at our house... Hubby decided he needed to switch out all the light switch plates in our home from toggle switches to rockers,,, uugghh! (he is newly retired and 'fixin' stuff around the house!)

so now I will stash these away until I can use them again..
(Both were made by CJ.)

(in a soon to be acquire Aristocrat trailer)''' I might put the farm girl switch plate... and save the lace one for the Viking...

LI think we might have to do a Light Switch Plate swap again... just sayin'...

That is a great idea! Fortunately, I can still enjoy mine right where it's supposed to be. . . on the wall with a switch in the middle! :D

Grace, I had an idea, how about gluing a big pretty glass pendant/bead over the center to cover the hole and then hang them together on the wall with a frame around them? I'd rather do that then put them away, they are so pretty. They have butterflies, glass flower pendants etc.

I get big glass beads from fire mountain gems. http://www.firemountaingems.com/

Divina,
I'm glad the box arrived and you are having fun going through it all! It was certainly my pleasure . . . hardly made a dent in the supplies I have in my project room!
Thanks for letting me help you out!

P.S. I'm not absolutely sure, but I think Grace used Mod Podge on the one she made for me. That's what it feels like and I KNOW she's a Mod Podge "queen"!

Denise,
I used Mod Podge to glue paper (scrapbooking. . . except the Farmgirl one is a candy wrapper from one of MJF chocolate bars) on the switch plate and then three coats of Mod Podge over the top.

I had also covered all the switch plates in my house long before this swap, using scrapbooking paper and clear Contact Paper. It's been years since I did those and they are still in good shape.

Hope that helps!

Grace and CJ those are fantastic! Is there something special you put on them to keep them protected? Love this and I have so many unadorned ones. Most of mine are doubles and triple around here.

This is the one Gracie made for me. I had told her I needed one for the switch for the track lights over my piano, so she did a musical themed one for me. Sorry the light isn't all that great and you can see the corner of the piano at the edge.

Grace, what a clever idea you came up with for switch plates!! I love the ones you made!! For sure, they will need a new home. You have inspired me to try my hand at doing some of these too.
