Went out shopping this morning, then came home and baked a whole bunch of cookies, had to eat a few to make sure they were right, already not feeling great with this cold and sore throat but it had to be done. Then the door bell rings and its the UPS guy with my tower of chocolates and cookies from Boston. I posted a picture on my blog, as you can see this could really do me in.

Nancy, glad your starting to feel better. The junk food is just too easy this time of year. I still have so much to bake & by the time work ends & I'm home, Im tired or wanting to do something else. I have off now until Jan 2, 2007 & I'm thrilled!!

The goodies look delicious. You could freeze some of them and then slowly enjoy it over the winter. It will help take away those winter blahs! You could also have a Christmas cookie party with friends and family too. Enjoy them all & I hope you have a healthy Christmas and New Year! Dawn in IL

Glad you're on the mend, Nancy Jo! Santa needs all his elves in top shape... Take care, and gee, doesn't chocolate go down easy with that sore throat? Sorta coats it, yeh, that's it. Nance

Nancy, I *so* understand! Hubby used to come home with boxes and boxes of chocolate and cookies from coworkers and vendors. It'd show up in the mail, too. I got to where I would just feel the heft of the box and about explode! How were we supposed to eat all this? Especially the mint ones; hubby doesn't like mint, so that leaves it up to me! I gave away tons of it to unsuspecting bystanders.

This year, but some serendipitous feat of timing, the world has given us fruit. Lots and lots of wonderful fruit!

Of course, now I want a subscription to Harry and David....

I hope you feel better soon! Are you doing any better today?
