Posted - Dec 17 2006 : 4:09:01 PM wasnt sure where to put this but, yesterday I went w/ my sister to look for shops that sell only vintage stuff. I love anything vintage especially skirts & sweaters. Well, I found the most beautiful long flowing vintage skirt I have ever seen anywhere. It has soft muted colors of pinks, creams & sage green all through it w/ silver beads & sequince. It sounds a bit loud but it isn't, it beautiful. I can't wait for summer to wear it. I love vintage & bohimian styles & didn't wear it because I thought I was too old!! Well, I am not. Its femine & soft and I love wearing skirts in the summer especially. Im going to take a picture of it and try to put it on here w/ my husbands help. It's just so different & beautiful. What a great day it was.

Posted - Dec 24 2006 : 10:21:12 AM Sounds so lovely! My fave are vintage sweaters...absolutely can not get enough of them. They are so easy to throw on over a t-shirt with jeans, over a tank in the summer evenings..whatever. We should go shopping together someday..wish you were closer!

Posted - Dec 21 2006 : 12:24:54 PM I'm not very computer savy either, but when you have the picture(s) developed, can't they be put on disk? I've only posted photos once, and they were on a disk and I followed Gabe's directions here and that worked. That's just a guess. Hopefully, someone else here really knows the answer.

Posted - Dec 21 2006 : 07:58:35 AM Hey, Michele! You're probably not as old as I am(it seems fewer and fewer people are, these days!) But the way I see it, if we 'invented' these styles in the 70's, then we have the 'cred' to keep on wearing them. The only thing I think I'm too old for are teeny tiny short skirts. But then, maybe I never had the legs for those, anyhow. :) Have your dh take a picture of YOU in your beautiful skirt!

Posted - Dec 21 2006 : 04:42:47 AM I'm agree with all the vintage, etc. I love it all. Especially using something for other then its intended use. I have an old metal grain scoop, that I use for a utensil holder on my kitchen counter. Wish I could take the claim for the idea, but got it from the Junk Market girls. Looking forward to the picture!!! |
