Okay ladies, I'm getting ready to rent a booth at a really nice antique/collectibles store near here. I have my choice between 2 available booths, both the same size and on the first aisle -- BUT one is on the far left aisle as you walk in and the other is on the far right.
I read somewhere that it's best to be in the first aisle they walk down. So which way do you go when you go in the door of a antique/consignment store? Right or left?
I go left first, btw.

Thanks, ladies. I'm going in tomorrow to put my deposit (January's rent) on the booth toward the right.
I never realized I'm so out of sync, going left. But I go to the right first at the grocery store!

I go up the center aisle, then circle around to the right and do the perimeter, the work my way from left to right.

Wow. I think I'm kindof a freak....in the antique malls, , I generally try to start out on the right side of the aisle, but I suddenly get ADD and I'm everywhere....but I LEAN towards the right, does that count?
At markets, I do everything in the order of the store--fresh, grains, pantry items, etc..so...again, Right.
Just think of all of the roads there are...all of the things I haven't seen....yet. |

I always go right too! But interestingly our new market has you enter at the left side of the store and you are in the deli/ produce
area with the bakery at the back. I wonder if this has been planned intentionally or just due to logistics of the store. Hmmmm....but guess what? I still go right and do that section last!

Whichever way is most common at your local grocery store? I would imagine right and then counterclockwise?

I start with the first row and the booths on the right. When I get to the end then I work my way down the other side (which would have been left when I first came in but is now on my right - LOL). Then I continue on the next row and do the same thing. Very methodical.

You should go right. I've worked in retail and studies have been done showing that most people will turn right when they enter a store. I'm sure you'll have great success at the antiques store!

Right, always. It just seems to be the way my body directs itself. :) I'm like Holly. I wait until I have seen everything and then go back through. You just never know what's around the corner!

Most people go right, however knowing this I have gone to the left at times to avoid the crush. Either way you get them coming or going. I know that I tend to hang onto my money til I've seen all the booths and then go back unless there is something I have to have (and then I ask to have it held sometimes so I don't have to carry it all!)
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

Left. That shouldn't surprise anyone that knows me. I do the outside perimeter and then work my way through the middle. I bet some psychologist would have a field day with this one! lol

I walk on the right side at the market as I go down the rows so I would say right. Kinda like drivin a car?
