Posted - Feb 01 2016 : 11:05:32 AM Well, we're at it again! A few years ago many of us farmgirls enjoyed celebrating this day. And, it's been fun to do it every year. It's on Mary Jane's calendar for today, February 1st! I've tried to exercise my spunk by trudging through MORE snow, haul hay to our cows with my hubby, shovel, shovel and shovel . . and sweep MORE snow and trudge on my power walk too!
Hope you girls have a great day today no matter what you're up to! HAPPY SPUNKY OLD BROADS DAY! CJ

Posted - Feb 02 2016 : 08:14:09 AM Gracie, you're a hoot! Sure wish I could spend some time with you.
Granny on the Beverly Hillbillies reminded me an awful lot of my mother-in-law. Little lady that was feisty, ornery and rather a spitfire! She grew up on a big cattle ranch in Arizona and is in heaven now.
Hope you enjoyed your chocolate and tea! CJ

Posted - Feb 01 2016 : 1:23:16 PM Our morning started with 31 degrees, then it started to get a bit windy and by lunch time the temp had DROPPPED to 28 degrees. Snow flurries to start, then sun came out and we got all shoveled and plowed out . . again. Now it is snowing again and it's 26 degrees at 2:20 PM! My body is telling me it doesn't want to shovel more snow for a while . . :D Even though I'm a spunky old broad! :D CJ

Posted - Feb 01 2016 : 1:12:00 PM It was 77 degrees here today and I am feeling spunky for different reasons! It was a great day to do some shrub trimming and other yard work now that we had a few freezes recently.
