This year, I'm staying home. I have done my share of lining up outside of stores at 4 am. Been there, done that and NOT AGAIN!

My kids are grown now and my oldest headed out early this morning with her list in hand.

I'll probably be doing more Cyber Monday stuff. I like the convenience of having stuff delivered.

How about y'all?

I went to work on Black Friday... the market job. It was nice slow day, not to busy with customers, thought we all did a lot of deep cleaning. I don't like to clean much, especially other people places.

There was no black Friday shopping for me. I have never gone and don’t plan to in the future! I like to keep things simple and just get what I need online that way it can be delivered to me and I won’t have to set foot in a crazy store at all!

I stayed home and visited with my daughter, Chelsey, her husband, Jake, and my precious granddaughter, Zoë. We also played the board game, The Settlers of Catan.

I like the local buying too. I didn't leave the house on black Friday.

And, I'm one for buying local as much as possible! We have soooooo many opportunities to do that around here, even though it is a rural community!

I like the way MaryJane thinks, CJ!!! LOL!

I don't do Black Friday, either... But today we ran out of milk (son drank a lot yesterday!), so I had to run to the store. I was quickly reminded why I don't "do" Black Friday - I avoided four - count 'em - FOUR accidents! What IS it that makes people drive so crazy on this day?? I wasn't even out until late afternoon! It felt like I took a wrong turn at Albuquerque and wound up smack-dab in the middle of the Indy 500!!! Eghads! Next year if this happens, I'm going to open a can of dry milk!!!

Stay safe, girls - and enjoy your holiday weekend! Happy shopping to those of you who brave that cold world out there! ;)

Hugs -

I just looked at my Mary Janes Farm Calendar . . . it says it's "Buy Nothing Day". Works for me!

Nope, not me! Have absolutely no desire to do that craziness! We do very little Christmas shopping anymore anyway because of family decisions to not spend money on stuff no one really needs or wants!

Nope. Never have. I have always thought that if I had to fight that hard to get a "thing" it probably wasn't necessary. It is not worth my anxiety level shooting up. Just me.

For those who do shop then...Knock yourselves out! lol

I'm doing a little shopping in the Stores but most of my buying is also done on-line in the
comfort of my own home and in my pajamas! (+:

I worked so many retail black Fridays it is in my blood and dna I'm sure!!! LOL

Happy Shopping,

I have done it before, but have no desire to Black Friday shop today. I will probably order things on line and love having them delivered.

I have never shopped on Black Friday at the stores. I prefer cyber shopping and will do that instead. Busy cleaning house and clearing away my autumn/Thanksgiving decorations today. Christmas will be going up next on the weekend.

Tonight I kick the holiday season off working as a volunteer at the Morton Arboretum's "Illumination" (holiday lights) event. Got my fingers crossed it quits raining so I don't get soaked during my 5 hour shift tonight!

Enjoy your families and relax everyone!
