Hi Farmgirls! My children and I have been studying gratitude ad hospitality. This seems especially fitting with Thanksgiving right around the corner. As I was searching around the internet, I came across "Tie One on Day." Apparently it is pretty popular, though I have never come across it before (not that that says much). Anyways, we have decided we are going to go for it, and wanted to see if any of you would be interested in joining us... I'm pretty sure some badges could be earned completing it - at least sewing an apron :)

The general idea is to sew a half apron, and wrap it around freshly baked goods (a loaf of bread seems to be the most common) and a note, and then present it to a friend or neighbor the day before Thanksgiving, which this year is Wednesday, November 25th.

Anyone else want to join us???

Shannon, this is so fun. I've done it before, but the first person I gifted didn't wear aprons. Lol. Have done it since with much appreciation. Wish we lived closer, you'd be my next target.

Hay there,

I do it every year.... and this year the Poor House Farm Girls Chapter is also working on doing it. It makes you feel good!! It really does invoke memories of apron from long ago. I still have my grandmothers....and a collection of vintage aprons also.

Its a great thing to pass along. Its a win-win !!

Shannon, this is a great idea! I need to think about our schedule as we will be going out of town for Thanksgiving and I might not be able to pull it off. A recipient would be so excited and thrilled to receive such a surprise!! Let us know how your gifting goes.

Shannon,
It is a great thing to do and I've done this in past years . . . not sure I can this year because of countless other things going on.
Our Henhouse has also participated in the past.
It's a great thing to do with kids . . . have fun with it!
