Just listed another decoupage item in my etsy store....I incorporated vintage illustrations from an old children's fairy tale book and some heavy stock paper as the background-sealing it with several coats of poly acrylic varnish.

I think it turned out pretty sweet!

Your pieces are just beautiful, Melody!!!!

I expecialy love the Carl Larsson writing desk. He is one of my favorite artists! I was so surprised to see your piece!

I sold my first decoupage piece yesterday ! A 'child's size' slanted wooden writing box--it was vintage and in dire need of refinishing so I covered it in a distressed shade of deep dark red pillow ticking card stock and then the little print. It's a Carl Larsson print that I clipped out from a huge print book I picked up years and years ago in S Dakota---

Thank you! I am not sure if I am going to sell the retro 60's sheet music dresser---I really don't have a venue to sell it from---I try to stick to 'smalls' in my Etsy shop. I can only imagine what the shipping would cost!

It's really the first big piece I've done---I would love to do a children's dresser in Grimm's Fairy Tales or something along a nursery theme. I find myself looking very carefully in thrift stores lately, but I have to keep telling myself think small ----think small!

Mel...I love this too! You do such good work! This ought to sell quickly.

I hope you kept the Dresser for yourself...however!!!
