Hi Farmsisters,

I just wanted to share with all my farmsisters big news. I passed my Final exam, the big diagnostic test, today to become a Certified Master Gardener! I won't go into details now, but it was ten and a half months of very hard work, long hours, and I totaled 80 hours of volunteer service. Whew.

I was really worried about the final but...not only did I pass but I got a score of 100!

I feel like I have not been able to spend as much time as usual with my friends, family, and my farmsisters (in person and here, on the chatroom). Nini, I owe you an email. Marlene and Amy, my letters won't be months apart. And my farmgirl chapter? Time to get together, girls!

Woo-hoo! I accomplished a big hurdle, and a check mark off my "Bucket List". As much as I love gardening, I am kinda looking forward to winter and not thinking about plants as much.

It was a great experience, and I am so proud of myself for seeing it through. Supposedly, they say the UConn program I did is the most difficult to complete. It wasn't easy, but I am so glad I did it.

Just wanted to share. I've really missed you all!

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole

Oh my goodness! I was so exhausted yesterday that I never got a chance to log on! Thank you all so much. :)

PeggyAnn, your comment is a hoot. Love it. My daughter (who is 13) said, "Don't you dare!" Giggle..snort..where's that tiara? ;)

Judith, I definitely plan on keeping up my hours. Once the first year as an intern is over, there is not as many hours needed to keep up certification. I also want to put the hours toward becoming an Advanced Master Gardener. I've already taken one class, and I have three years to complete the rest, so I think it is doable. And the friends I've met along the way are fantastic.

Thank you everyone. I love my farmsisters.

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole

Nicole...I think you should put on a Tiara and Dance through a meadow of wild flowers just to celebrate
that amazing accomplishment. We are ALL so proud of you!!! You should have sore shoulders now for all the
pats on the back we are giving you. The BEST things in life take hard work and dedication and determination
and YOU did it Farmgirl!!!!!

Fabulous news Nicole! It's a lot of hard work getting there, but if you're passionate about it, that makes it all so worth it, doesn't it?

Congratulations sister
