Posted - Sep 26 2015 : 5:41:53 PM OMG!... at the last minute I decided to go to another 'Storage Auction'... thinking I won't bid on anything,,, HA! $200.00 later I Have a 10x20 storage locker,,, filled to the brim! What was I thinking???? but... that being said,,, the last time I did that (hubby & I) we made a nice tidy profit of $815.00 plus I kept the silver and turquoise jewelery...
Well,, just for starters,,, the first think/box I open is a Jack LaLane Jucier, never been out of the box... $99.99 at J.C.Pennys tag and it was purchased only a couple of years ago... There was a complete insert set up with French doors,, all brand new,,, still celaphane wrapped... 3 wood interior doors,,, a metal Gazebo,, all the parts celaphane wrapped... stacks upon stacks of plastic bins,,, office type storage boxes filled with all kinds of goodies,,, lots of new stuff w/tags still on... oh my the list goes on and on... Now to sort through,,, sell what we don't want/need, donate other stuff... and repurpose what ever... This is what happens when hubby dearest doesn't keep me on a short leash! snork, giggle! Actually he is excited about the Gazebo as we have been wanting one and have been watching the end of season sales.... Oops, sorry about the spelling and grammer... I am heading out the door to meet up with hubby dearest for Pizza nite! tata-4-now!

Posted - Oct 02 2015 : 10:24:03 AM we are making headway through this unit... I have the 'Trash'...'Donate' 'Sell' and 'Keep' piles pretty well sorted out... I have sold all the interior wooden doors, I have someone interested in the cabinet door fronts (for crafting) I have sorted all the 'junk jewelery, in piles of donate, keep (for crafting) and we even found silver and gold jewelery which will be sold.
this is the costume jewelery I am keeping for re-purposing except for the heart bracelet,, which is Silver so it will go to the 'sell' pile.
this is the sellable gold & silver jewelery.
I decided to keep this chest of drawers to re-do,,, and then sell it. There is a display unit as well as lots of framed prints. Also a nice mirror ( I plan to re-paint)... There is what looks to be a bed headboard w/attached nite stands... I just can't get to it yet.. Hopefully I will have everything sorted by Monday... This is to much like work! lololol! Oh,,, and the owner was a 'Christmas-aholic' ... 11 boxes (office storage size) of Christmas decorations, dishes, 3 Sleighs,,, etc... OMG!

Posted - Sep 27 2015 : 2:15:47 PM Ok, so this is the 2nd time I have done this,,, and both auctions where quiet compared to the silly "Storage Wars" auctions you see on TV... polite people,,, and everyone was so friendly... I took a few quick pics yesterday... Later today hubby and I will go over and just start peeking into a few boxes and maybe sort and re-stack everything.... so when we go over next Tue & Wed we can make some major way through the stacks of Bins and boxes... Keep, Sell, Donate.
brand new French Doors,,, and there are brand new windows hidden behind the doors.
lots of kitchen cabinet doors ( I sew re-purposing in my future)...
Cabinets,, a heavy duty Gazebo, a Verdigris hanging lamp... and sooo much more stuff... and this is just the stuff at the front... Send in the troops,,, this sorting will take a few days! lol! Oh and I am excited to have found a brand new in the box Juicer machine... "Keep" pile for sure! lol!

Posted - Sep 27 2015 : 05:15:00 AM Grace you are brave! I would worry that it would be filled with total junk and I would have to pay someone to haul it to the dump! Sounds like you got quite a deal! No doubt you will make a profit on the new unpacked items!

Posted - Sep 26 2015 : 8:27:29 PM I am so surprised at all the new, still in the box/package stuff we have found thus far,,, it's as if the couple,,, wife in particular,,, just shopped on line out for the heck of it...to many items that were shipped to her.... and never removed from the boxes/packages and... the woman was a Christmas deco-aholic... boxes of brand new never opened Christmas décor... Kind of sad that a person has to shop for self fulfilment.
