Posted - Aug 09 2015 : 11:41:36 AM Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to a tractor pull in DeLeon, Texas, and our route took us through Stephenville. I contacted TexasGran (Marilyn) and she and I met. Ed took a couple pictures of us together. [quiltee (Linda) on the left and TexasGran (Marilyn) on the right].
I love meeting a farmgirl in person - putting a face to the name. She and I have been in several swaps together and now I can say I know her in person.

Posted - Aug 10 2015 : 04:54:02 AM That is so neat! I have yet to have the opportunity to actually meet a Farmgirl in person! There is one RoseMarie (hmmm i think it is Country Yankee on here?) that lives only twenty minutes from me.... She and I really need to try to get together... Maybe after Emi is born! Alicia (DandeeRose) is hoping to come for a visit in October. Last time I was going to stop by her house in our travels, but one of her children were sick. I think when we get ready to move out west, I am going to try to meet as many as possible, and most definitely try to meet MaryJane at her farm! Oh the privilege!

Posted - Aug 09 2015 : 4:04:42 PM Absolutely, Marilyn!! It is wonderful to have a chance to meet other Farmgirls in person. I have had the same privilege a few times in the last few years as well and I just love it. Many of us live pretty far from each other, but when the opportunity arises to meet in person, it is a great day!!
