I/we have been struggling lately with finances and I have been struggling with weather or not God has heard. Well let me assure He has and does!

This past couple of weeks have been amazing! We really needed extra cash for groceries but I hadn't told anyone just trying to be creative with what we had......I got a sweet note in the mail with $50.00 in commisary gift certificates from a sister in our Bible study group!

Then my daughter really wanted to go to Forest Home (www.foresthome.org) for her birthday but it was going to be around $800-900 for all of us for the weekend! I stepped up and asked about scholarships (All they can say is no) and only had to pay $150.00!

We spent Thanksgiving with friends and his father in law (who we had never met before) gave us $100.00 in cash as an early Christmas gift!

So we were able to go to camp, eat, travel to and from camp and buy a bushel of apples to put up!

God is good!

Holly

Holly - my daughter and her hubby (who is a pastor) have so many of these wonderful stories. God really does provide when we surrender and do His work. Thank you for sharing! I hope you have a wonderfuol holiday.

Holly, Thanks so much for sharing this. We all need reminders daily of His promises and how He comes thru. I love how even David in the psalms would write of his struggles - and always end with how he puts his trust in the Lord! Thanks for the faith building note. Forest Home looks like a wonderful place. We do serve an awesome God!

Holly, thank you for sharing and reminding us how great God is. You are also wonderful for being patient and knowing your prayers would be answered. In this world of strife it is so great to hear the joy!!! Thank you!!!

Oh Holly, thanks for sharing! God is good and it is good to be reminded. If I sat down long enough I could probably write a book on all the ways He has come through for me. Thanks for the reminder!

Hi Holly-

It is amazing how much God does take care of us- especially when we are not looking or begging for help. So many times have I myself experienced this and heard others tell similar stories.

One time for me, we were really struggling with finances and were about a week from having an eviction notice served when a $1000 check arrived in the mail from a family friend. She didn't know we were struggling but was just being kind.

Most recently I was extremely sick due to being pregnant and had to stop working. I got money from the college I attend and then someone totaled my "spare" vehicle. All told it gave me enough money to pay some debts and stay at home for 3 months to take care of myself.

I am so glad your situation is working itself out!

God is good Holly! Amazing how that happens once in awhile. Glad you are feeling renewed in HIS presence in your life.
