The above link will take you to the Wall-Street Journal and Miss Lee's first chapter of "Go Set a Watchman."

Just listened to Reese Witherspoon read the first chapter and girls,
it is EXCELLENT!

Only four more days until publication!

I want to get the book, too. Wondering if I should go back and re-read "To Kill a Mockingbird" before or after I read "Go Set a Watchman". It was so long ago I read Mockingbird.

I haven't bought the book yet. I can't wait to read it.

HA Dawn! I am number 422 on the hold list, but is says there are 50 copies, so maybe I'll get in sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, I've requested a copy of "TO Kill A Mockingbird", (book on CD), read by Sissy Spacek. That should be a wonderful listen.
Also, for those who haven't seen it, here is a nice story about the book, and Harper Lee, narrated by Katie Couric. It shows some of her current life in a nursing home, and she still has a great sense of wit, and a voracious appetite for reading.

I agree, it is excellent! I'm on the library wait list for the book and it will probably be Christmas before I get it. I'll wait, it is something to look forward to when the cold and snow get to be too much to go outside.

Oh my, Melody! I just read the first chapter. I can't wait for the book! I'll have to listen to Reese read it another time as DH just went to bed. Not a good idea to wake him with this. Thank you, for sharing!
