Life has been crazy and busy, all in a good way. The wedding - March 1, was wonderful! We have the grandkids alot, hike daily and tend to our growing garden and pets. I have learned so much recently about water turtles, pond building, and birds. We recently got a pet senagal parrot, very new to me. We have lovebirds, canaries and lots of finches in our aviaries. We have our sweet bull terriers and one unusual cat. Youngest daughter just graduated from high school. We keep busy with projects. My total knee replacement surgery in late Jan. Was very much a sucess. I recovered quickly and can do alot that I hadn't been able to do in many years because of knee pain. There are alot of beautiful hiking ttrails in our area and we are them all. I will try to be here more often. I have missed you gals!

So glad to see you back Jenny! Glad you had success with your surgery. Nice that you could get up and out to do your hiking before the heat of the day.

Marilyn, it was my second knee done. I had first one done in 2009. I was 80 lbs heavier still had this other bad knee and was much less active so it was a very different experience. I am thrilled with the results. We went on our hike at 6a.m. today to beat the heat. As for the unusual cat....Ziggy is a big fluffy guy who acts "stoned" all the time. Always has. He will be laying on his back in the sun when we leave to go to town, and we find him in the same exact position when we return hours later. A very mellow fellow.#128518;

Hi Aunt Jenny, I haven't "met" you, because I joined in April. I am glad your knee replacement went well. I have had both done, and you are so right. It is soooo nice to walk without pain. Glad you are here.

Hi Jenny, sounds like a wild ride for you lately! Congratulations on a successful knee surgery, that is such a hurdle to get over. I love hearing about your critters, and you really piqued my curiosity about your " unusual cat." I'd love to hear the details!

Happy Day!
