So, y'all know I have a "thing" for anything "vintage". I have found some real bargains at thrift shops, flea markets, and tag sales. When the "Newtown Antiques Festival" was back this weekend, I had to go. I found myself with a few hours by myself, so I treated myself to a walk around. I promised DH and myself, "I'm just gonna look". But...

You know how it goes.

There's that piece. That one piece. The one that you don't need. The one that catches your eye because it is different than the others you already have. The one that you say, I'll think about. Then can't leave without.

Yup. That was me. (Head hanging in shame, with fingers crossed behind back).

So here was my find. I did talk her down quite a bit...but compared to some of the tole trays I got for $1 at Goodwill, it was a bit more.

My kitchen is painted blue and "done up" in cherries and chickens. And I LOVE tin trays. And shabby chic. How could I possibly pass it up? Right? My farmsisters agree, right?

Okay, so maybe I should look into a 12-step program for antiques...

But hey, "Nothing Haunts You Like the Vintage You DIDN'T Buy"...

Thanks girls! I did my research as the sticker was still on the back. It is from a company that made handpainted trays from the 20's to the 1950s. I love anything with Cherries!

Anyone else love cherry themed things?

I LOVE cherry anything.
I'd love to get a sundress like Marilyn Monroe used to wear with the cherries on it. Although I wouldn't look like she did, for sure.
