As a little girl growing up, I loved watching my mother "put her face on"... and I was so fascinated with her collection of metal tubed lipsticks... sitting in a sweet brass lipstick holder...

both of these are old Avon lipsticks... to think this lipstick is still waxy.. one wonders how good this stuff is that we put on our lips,,, 45+ years later it is still waxy... lol!

I do remember Tangee! I don't remember what shade it turned on me; but, it was not a pretty sight. It was pretty on some of my friends though.

Yes, Bonnie, I remember Tangee. It turned bright red on me, but then so did everything else I tried...even Powder Pink. Something to do with my lips, not the lipsticks. Guess it saved me a lot of money over the years.

My mpm didn't wear lipstick until she was in her 70s and then it was a very light pink. I didn't wear it as a teenager, but did as an adult. Don't now though . . . no reason to!

Does anyone remember Tangee lipstick? It was a different color on every wearer. You can still get them through the Vermont Country Store.

I remember my mom's lipsticks sitting in basket on her dresser. She still would never dream of leaving the house without her lipstick, even at 93! I never got into the habit if wearing it, though.
