Joan,
I'm very fond of calico and tortoiseshell kitties. The one we had before Silky (whos ia a "tortie") was a calico with longish, soft hair.
Your Cutie is beautiful!

But then so are all the kitties! :D

Judy . . . et al,
I grew up on a farm and we always had outside cats but they were tame enough for my younger sister and I to catch and play with. We dressed them in doll clothes and often they'd run off and hide under the granary. It wasn't until they calmed down and came out that we could get our doll clothes back! :D

Growing up, we moved a lot so we never had /pets', except a few gold fish,,, and a Guinea pig named Matilda.... So when my parents finally settled down,,, the first thing we got was a white cat with 1 blue and 1 green eye.... then daddy got his dog, and then more cats and dogs filled our home,,,
I married a man who came from a home that was not real pet friendly,,, it only took hubby dearest a couple of months to become addicted to having fur and paw prints around all the time,,, now he wouldn't have it any other way,,, I married the best man,,, and we joke that we could never divorce, as it would create a huge custody battle over who gets the fur kids! lol!
Yep, love our fur babies...

Love the pictures and hearing about the kitties...I love kitties more than any other animal...always have...when I was a little girl and everyone else was playing with and dressing up their baby dolls...I was playing with and putting little clothes on my Siamese cat...I love those memories...still think of my Kitty Love that I lost about almost 2 years ago...he filled our house with fun and sunshine everyday...love love love fur babies:):):)

Hugs!

Love all the kitty babies. I have 4, and my mom who lives with me now has one. They all love their sunny spots, even my little Bogie who is blind but still manages to get up to a sunny perch.

CJ: Silky, also, is beautiful. My cat, Gracie, loves the sun spots, also. I'll try to get a picture of her but she is such a scary-cat about taking pictures.

Yes, Maryjane,,, I love our kitchen window view.... In the Birch tree to the left, I have humming bird feeders, and it is entertaining for peekie to watch, not to mention the Robins scratching up worms from the lawn...
what you don't see from this photo are the lavender plants I have below the window,,, which attract the humming birds to the window... much to peekie's surprise and wonderment...

Yepadoodle,,, makes form a great snoozing spot..
Peekie is a indoor kitty as is our Dolly girl....(both Himalyans)

Then we have 3 'barn' kitties who are our outdoor kitties... and they have various spots in the garage that they claim for sleeping,,, one of which is on my saddle,,, so I keep an old moving blanket over it.

all our kitties are 'fixed' and happy to be sleeping slugs when they are not out catching gophers... They all come in at night to the garage.... where they are safe at night.

Cute and clever! Kitties do love windows. Mine hangs out in ALL our windows. The two big ones in living room has the couch back in front of one and another piece of furniture in front of the other to lay one and they are south facing windows . . . great for kitty sun baths!

That is so cute! What a beautiful kitty. Nothing kitties love more than being able to look out the windows and sleep in the sun. What a nice husband you have to do that for her.By the way, what a lovely view that is!
