Posted - Dec 02 2006 : 6:42:09 PM Hi Nancy, sorry I missed the gift drawing, but I have been doing the dreaded house cleaning for the Holidays....Got rid of a freezer and a dishwasher today..My next door neighbor (a preacher)'s daughter came down and she and DH and Sons took it all.. Bramble sent me some beautiful patterns to embroider and so I am getting rather excited over this new "hobby",, easier than trying to drag a quit around with me,,,I have been making Frannies dolls, but some how misplaced pattern, so have to check around for it...

Posted - Nov 23 2006 : 5:06:04 PM Katie, Yes thats right, he is in the book, and I remember his shows when he would travel around the country to different places. Katie, please feel compelled to tell me whatever you want to, I may have known about his connection to the book, but I didn't know about his estate and that he raises beef cattle, so you see I learned something. Posted - Nov 23 2006 : 3:52:34 PM Hi Nancy Jo! The Little House cookbook is written by Wilma Kurtis, you said -- whom I believe is the mother of Bill Kurtis. I remember he has/had some connection with the Little House prairie area. He used to be a TV anchorman here in Chicago years ago, then went to NYC, then went into cable work (Discovery Channel possibly). Are you familiar? Now he owns acres and acres in Kansas and raises gourmet beef. (Also has a glorious estate outside of Chicago and is very active in the arts and the botanic garden here.) I don't know why I'm compelled to tell you all this! Ha!
Anyway, thanks for the glimpse of your passions.

Posted - Nov 21 2006 : 5:31:29 PM Hi Nancy Jo, all will be well. There are different kinds of upper GI. In January this year I had an endoscopy - look at everything, down into the stomach. Painless, and sound asleep! I also had barrium swallow. Drank lot's of stuff and x-rays while swallowing. Painless. I'm sure all will be good! I will say a prayer for you!
Please put me in your drawing - you always have the nicest things! Thank You!

Posted - Nov 21 2006 : 4:53:04 PM Girls, Drawing is tomorrow morning, so you can still sign up. Going to try and fit a couple little extras in. Wanted to post more pictures today but the batteries in my camera are napping. Have to go on Monday for an upper GI test, anyone have that done? And what that has to do with my blog and a drawing I have no idea. NANCY JO
