Some people were cleaning out an elderly relatives house of stuff and they were THROWING THESE AWAY! My hubby saved them for me. The most exciting thing was there were several half-gallon antique jars. I had never seen that size before.

I know my farmgirls understand.

That jar with the yellow lid is a gem also. It's an attachment for an Oster blender.

Nini, great minds think alike! THat was the first word that came to my mind. SCORE!
Great find Sarah! Canning jars make me drool. Just ask my family. Spare jars are NOT safe around me.

SCORE!!! How cool is that, Sarah?! I'm thrilled for you! I especially love those glass-lidded bail jars for crafting supplies and to display colorful candy at the holidays. Neat! Neat! NEAT! Congratulations! Enjoy!!! Hugs - Nini

One person's junk is a FarmGirl's treasure. Can't have too many mason jars especially the old ones. I have several of the blue green ones and one brown. Always on the look-out for old & rare mason jars.

Now haul! Good hubby! I love old mason jars, too! I am getting a nice collection, but need to use them more wisely!

This was a home run! I love the ones with the wire closures too. They can be hard to find but make great holding containers for dried supplies like rice, beans, etc. Looks like you are set for lots of future canning too. What a sweet deal!

Wow girl what a home run your DH hit and surprised you with! How wonderful you must feel. The half gallon ones are so unique and get expensive.
