Well for those of you who are familiar with the (lame-o) T.V. Show, 'Storage Wars'... know that most storage units left abandoned.. are pretty trashy... or so I thought...
A friend of ours is an Auctioneer and told us she was do an auction at a near by Storage Unit facility, so for kicks-n-giggles, hubby & I went.... We actually bid and one a unit.... OMG! did we SCORE!...
I'll show a few photos byt there was sooo much stuff it took us 2 days to go through, sort and decide what goes to donation, what goes to friends, what gets sold and what we keep...
There was a small box tucked in a basket stuffed with vtg kitchen ware,,, in the little box was Tourquoise jewelry and silver jewelry as well as a gold necklace w/a black pearl...
Then there was the mid century yellow laminant table, rocking chair, dishes, vtg turn of the century file cabinet and tons of vtg. enamelware, radio, clock,... and lots more stuff... a vtg. typing table, 3 old Crocks, a vtg. Gentleman's pocket knife...and on and on...
All total, well over $500 in value and we only paid $175.
It was such fun to go through everything... but a lot of work.

also found lots of iron work (decorative things) clothes, enamel ware, and well, like I said, tons of stuff.
But as fun as it was, I am good, no need to do this again...

Okay, Grace - that has to be the neatest deal I've seen in ages! You really made out! That is AMAZING!!! Makes me almost want to consider doing it myself! Though, if it were me, I'd probably get stuck with a bunch of clown clothes, curly red wigs and rubber chickens! LOL! If I ever do this, though, I'd want to go with YOU!!! :)

Congratulations on a wonderful score! I'm THRILLED for you!!! :)

(LOVE the Mistletoes, by the way... They brought a tear to my eye! What a cool keepsake!)

Hugs -

It was fun,,, but now my garage looks like it exploded... again! lol!
We had, had a yard sale back in Sept., and got rid of a lot of 'stuff'... and freed up a lot of space in the garage... and my plan was to go through all my plastic storage bins (also stored in the garage) and get better organized... well until this... now I'll probably have to cool my jets until Spring to clear out the garage... again! lol!

In the mean time,,,
Merry Christmas and Happy Misletoes! giggle giggle!

Yup . . SCORE! Looks like some real treasures there!
I certainly wouldn't want to go through it myself . . .
Have fun with whatever you do with it!
