So, it's Monday. It's raining and the days are 5 hours long. I have along commute in the dark and SUV headlights blind me all the way home. I open my front door and....discover a 10 lb bag of rice scattered all over the kitchen, dining and living rooms. I am about to sit down and have a good cry, when I remember the note in my mailbox that a package is in my shed. I find a BEAUTIFUL APRON!! And a beautiful bookmark made by Tasha's talented and ecologically gifted daughter. I proceed to vacuum up the rice, put on the apron and bake some sourdough bread. Hurray!! Thank you, Tasha, for the lovely apron and for saving my day....

Yes, Nancy Jo - it was the...DOG. I have two and my girlie dog, Bernie was a stray who seems not to have lost the need to "forage". What I'm wondering is how that little girl dragged 10# of dead-weight rice off the kitchen island....

That's a great story, Susan, but how did the rice get all over??
