I just can't get over this article:

http://www.cnbc.com/id/102086930?__source=xfinity|mod&par=xfinity#.

Are people really this blind?

I am ill. Simply ill.

Forgive the negativity... I still have hope that eyes will be opened and ears will hear. I just pray when that happens it isn't too late.

We're all in this together, girls.

Hugs -

Nini

We have banned GMOs from our house as much as we possibly can, but it is getting more and more difficult! Even some of the organic products are from the same companies that also produce GMO products, so trying to keep them straight is difficult!!!! We try to ban those companies from out=r house as well! I'm going to get on my "soap box" right now, so bare with me for a minute.... how is it that man thinks he is smarter than God and can produce "better" food my changing the actual DNA of it!?!? These "smarter" people are killing us, left and right. GMOs have been shown to cause cancer in animals (though I don't agree with animal testing, it has been done!), and yet people are saying it is perfectly safe for us? And even go as far as to say it will be what saves everyone!?!? Good grief!

I am praying that the people of Colorado and Oregon will vote YES to GMO labeling. These companies along with The Mighty Koch Brothers have poured millions to defeat the bill in these states. Sadly it worked in CA. I hope the people of CO and OR are motivated to get out to vote and are not willing to believe these companies.

I do wonder if GMO's are so safe, why do these companies fear the labeling so much!

People see what they want to see is what it boils down to. A person can have hard evidence in front of them and still say it's untrue.

These large corporations only have THIER interests in mind. They're not out to improve the lives of farmers, the consumer or the world at large.

I hear you girls!!! As a farmer it's sad to see and hear how big business has taken over agriculture. It's not just the consumers that are suffering, but a lot of farmers are given promises and false information and by the time they figure it out it's too late. We try so hard to spread the word to anyone that will listen, but it's really hard to get some people to change. It's wonderful to hear that some of you are keeping your eyes and ears open and thinking with your own brains :) Together we can make a difference!!

Thanks for sharing the article Nini.

I do not believe or trust anything when Monsanto or Dow are quoted. The GMO's need to be stopped, the fracking and poisoning of water tables needs to be stopped as well. I am well aware they provide many jobs, but I feel there are better ways to put people to work and keep our food & water safe. The third world countries need to quit poisoning their land and our atmosphere, but unfortunately corruption is so rampant that it is difficult for them to get anything good done for their people. I sign many petitions, shop as wisely as I can, and try to do my part with limiting our footprint here on this beautiful but beleaguered earth. I think a lot of the public is much smarter then these companies give us credit for and hopefully the tide will change for the better. We all have to work for that change!
