A lot of people hate spring and fall cleaning. I actually like it. I washed all the curtains yesterday from six different windows. Washed the windows, boy those window sills really collect the summer dirt. So today I will start on a few more windows and curtains. You should have seen during this fall cleaning binge all the boxes and bags I put out for the charity truck.

Luckily I was able to do mine in advance as we moved in August. Seemed the perfect time to do a dump/clean/re-organize. The things needing to be done now are cosmetics such as painting and the floors. Since they are indoor projects I don't mind saving them for those nasty days! If I had the money and a whole week, I'd get that done also.

DH and I have had a very industrious past few weeks...the vinyl siding has been washed down...cleaned the deck...done some outside painting on the house that needed to be done...getting rid of a bunch of things inside...hoping to do a bit of remodeling to our bathroom and laundry room in the next few months...I also need to get windows cleaned and curtains washed this week...there is always something to do...it makes me feel so much better to get rid of the things we don't need anymore and for someone else be able to get use out of them:):):)

Hugs!

Nancy, I know what a good feeling it is to do a major clean up campaign! Congratulations on getting it together and then making it happen. I need to do some of that here too. Right now, it is just so hot and summer like that I can't get motivated. Hopefully that will change soon!!

Just came back from town . . . had some things to take to thrift. Both of the thrifts in town are "not taking donations at this time" . . bummer! Hopefully that won't last long!!

Nancy, I know your house will just shine when you finish with all the rooms & windows. I don't do 'whole house fall or spring cleaning'. Throughout the year I tackle one room at a time. Usually takes me a week to get it done. By the time I finish the last room it's time to start all over again.

Kind of been doing the same thing. Had been getting things out of my house, box after box to the thrift, some stuff to the trash. Took a load of iron/steel/aluminum stuff from the yard to the local salvage and I've been working on cleaning stuff out of our storage shed. My goodness!! I hope to finish the shed today. Still have lots more in the yard to do but will save what might be left in the house until later when it's wintry outside!
It's been a job!! But feels good to get it done!
