Posted - Sep 30 2014 : 7:33:51 PM Ugghhhh....I found this stashed in one of my storage closets and for the life of me I thought it was a warping board, is it? Or is it a Inkle loom?
I could really use a warping board but after searching on line I have yet to find a warping board that looks like this!
Any info about what on earth this is please let me know....

Posted - Oct 01 2014 : 7:23:03 PM I have no need for an inkle loom that can convert into a warping board. I was wondering what the deal was with this thing until I googled it and found almost an exact model made by LeClerc! I think the little nylon "loops" on the middle spindle had me questioning what the heck it was!! I just want a plain old warping board the simpler the better! I will take photos and list it for sale in my Etsy store. They are neat though. I can't believe all the things that you can make on it and in such detail!

Posted - Oct 01 2014 : 7:11:14 PM I think it is a warping board, not an inkle loom but that is just my opinion

Posted - Oct 01 2014 : 7:04:42 PM I just saw a miniature one of these Inkle looms at the last fair in Michigan a few days ago. I sure was fascinating to have a demonstration and learn quite a bit of history about it. Hope you will be able to do something wonderful with it. The one I saw would only make belts and such about 1 and 1/2 inches wide. It was used to let people try it out and see if they would really want to get into weaving.
Enjoy! Brenda

Posted - Sep 30 2014 : 8:03:51 PM I just found this online...it's a "LeClerc" Inkle Loom that can convert into a 10-yard warping board!
"As well as being a loom, the "Cendrel" can be converted to a warping frame. Thus this beginner's loom becomes an efficient basic tool for the advanced weaver as well.Uses of the "Cendrel" are as varied as the people who weave with it; belts, neckties, headbands, guitar straps are but a few. Bands as wide as six inches can be woven, making it possible to produce large articles by joining woven strips together to achieve any width desired. Thus purses; cushions, wall hangings, table runners and mats, mats for hot dishes, ponchos., vests, and a host of other articles, limited only by the imagination of the weaver, can be made.
I was wondering why the heck it had a middle spindle with nylon "loops" attached to it!
I think I might list it in my Etsy store and just get a simple warping board....
