Posted - Sep 24 2014 : 12:24:12 PM Marly! I'm ashamed to admit that I probably wouldn't know a George Strait song if I was dancing to it! Maybe if I heard the songs, I'd know... Ugh... Shame fills me! LOL! But I just have to share this with you, because I know you'll appreciate it: my girlfriend and I are going to see James Taylor Thankgsiving weekend! I'm SO jazzed! I can hardly wait!!! Hugs - Nini

Posted - Sep 17 2014 : 05:11:47 AM I heard he is retiring from the music biz. I grew up in Texas, and he lives near my dad's ranch. I remember in the early eighties hearing about his daughter's tragic death in a car accident. She was my around my age. I grew up listening to his music, and had his albums as a kid. His music was some of the only music my parents and I agreed on as a teen, lol!
My three favorites are: 1. Amarillo by Morning 2. Oceanfront Property and 3. All my Exes Live In Texas...that song always makes me chuckle. Seriously, though, all his ballads are beautiful.
