Yesterday, the hub & I 'played hooky' and we drove up to the market, p/u some chicken & snacks and drove over to Manzanita Lake...
SO glad we did...
I got in some reading, he did some metal detecting and then by noon 'guests' started showing up...

and then the kayakers and fisherman started to show up so we left and took a lovely drive around the area and found this old Flume

When we got home we had a nice relaxing 'throw together' dinner(clean out fridge nite)... ate on the patio and watched the sun set...
No house work, no yard work, nothing... it just doesn't get any better then that...
Oh and yes,,, I did put my tootsies in the Lake,,, and hunted for shells...

because there is so much mica/glittery sediments in the water it has a 'golden' look to it.

Here's to Playing Hooky every now & then! Whoot Whoot!

It actually was.... and it had lots of shady tree'd areas to relax under

These guys were funny...

when they spotted a family setting up their food, they (ducks) waddled over to (behind) the lady and the one was getting ready to 'nibble' on her posterior...until I gave out a yell... the lady was surprised to have a 'duck on her butt'... lol!

Grace...it looks like a Heavenly Day!

We all need to take more of those days and just enjoy the Simpler things
in Life. I wanted to dip my toes in that Lake with you...it looked so refreshing.

Hugs and Smiles,
Peggy
