Went to renew my subscription to MJF and decided to check the status of my Farmgirl Sisterhood membership. IT LAPSED IN JANUARY!! NOOO!! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!? I could have sworn I renewed it for this year! Of course I renewed my membership and emailed to Brian to hopefully save my Farmgirl number. Has anyone else had this happen? I am so mad at myself!! Argh!!

Stephanie, I let my membership lapse as well. Brian was so very helpful in getting my renewal done.

Hi Stephanie and everyone else.

First off - Yes, you still have your old number Stephanie. I try to hold onto those for as long as I can since I know just how crazy busy life can get. I send out 3 email renewal reminders leading up to any sister's expiration date. The fact that your membership expired right around the holidays probably means that your life was even MORE busy than usual. Sara has a handy idea for a reminder and if/when you get your 2015 calendar, maybe you want to hand write a note for August as a reminder too? I know I do that for many things. It's always a pleasant surprise to flip the calendar at the end of the month and go "Oh yeah, I have to do XYZ in a couple weeks."

If you have any questions please feel free to call or email me. (brianogle@maryjanesfarm.org / 888-750-6004)

Thanks,

~Brian

Yesterday I received an e-mail from Brain letting me know I am now part of the Farmgirl Sisterhood and was given a number. Like all of you I don't want my membership to lapse next year, so I edited my profile signature to add the date of my enrollment next to my number. That should remind me next Aug to keep it up to date.

Ok, that makes me feel ALOT better! Haven't heard from Brian yet, so hopefully it is in the works!

I'm pretty sure you still have your number even if you don't renew your membership. I went over a year before renewing (I had a baby, moved, owned 2 houses, and working full time) and when I finally renewed it, I still had the same number.

Stephanie, yes, I have done that MANY times. I get that same sick feeling of losing my number. I was one of the first 100 to sign up, I'm #76 and I certainly don't want to lose that.

@Winnie...You know, I use a calendar for everything in my life. I refer to my calendar as my 'brain'. I don't know why it never occurred to me to add a reminder. Gonna do it today. Thanks.

Stephanie, glad you figured out the problem and renewed your Sisterhood! Things get so busy in a year, it is easy to lose track of things. May I suggest that you put a reminder on your phone reminder list or computer calendar so you can get a heads up late next July. I find using my computer reminder list is very helpful to me for all these little things that I know I am going to forget! Seems like the older I get, the more I need a lot of help!! LOL!
