Please pray for me for I am having heart surgery tomorrow. This came on suddenly. It is not for blockages. They did a heart cath. Yesterday and I have no blockages. There is something else wrong with my heart. I am scared.

Dorinda,

I have been praying for you. How scary that must have been. Praying that the Lord would strengthen your body and encourage your heart.

Continuing to pray for a super good outcome and they get you all fixed up. I am sorry that happened to you. That must have been scary. But maybe there was a good reason this happened. I think next time everything will go great. Hugs.

Oh, Dorinda! I'm so happy to "see" you back! I can't believe that happened to you - oh my! What a thing! Thankfully you're home now, though. And we'll be praying extra prayers for you all the way up to, through and after the next procedure. I pray He gives you a great peace about it. And please know the pacemaker is a piece of cake. I'm only 48 and had one installed a few months ago. It has been a godsend. It's weird getting used to, but it truly is a life saver, and I am very, very grateful to have it! I totally understand how you feel about being so young and having heart problems, medication, surgery... If you ever need or want to talk, please email me, okay? Hugs - Nini

Bummer that you have to go back! But I'm glad you're home and doing good for now!
Hang in there and prayers will continue.
Keep us posted!

Hi everyone I'm still here and alive! Just got out of the hospital late Thursday night. So I was in there for 8 days. Thanks so much for your prayers. Prayer is so powerful. I had all kinds of procedures done on my heart. I am so tired. They ended up doing an Ablation which is where they go into the heart and find where the problem lies. They deaden the part of the heart that is causing the problem. But luck would have it for me that a bad storm came along during the procedure and knocked out the power after they had been working on me for 2 hrs. Even though the back up generators came on it knocked out 2 pieces of the equipment they were using. So they had to stop. I was so scared before I went in because they were going to stop my heart during one point and start it back up. So now I have to go back in 6 weeks and go through it again. So they have sent me home on some heart medicine for now to help control the heart beat we hope. If this does not take care of the problem then I will have to have a pacemaker. Go figure at age 53 I am having heart problems. I have always been so careful to eat right and excercise. I did not have any blockages which I was happy about that because that makes this problem even worse. So my husband ask me earlier did you remember to take your heart medicine and I got so depressed just hearing the words. I have never been on any medicine. But I am scared to go through the procedure again. So please keep me in your prayers.

I know... I just didn't want anyone to panic, that's all. These things take some time and sometimes we just forget that when we're worried. I'm very concerned, too. You're right: it sure would be great if we could send her cards and farmgirl cheer... Let's hope somebody has that info, Susan! I can just imagine what a trial this must be for Dorinda and her family... Hugs - Nini

You are right Nini. I guess I just assumed that someone here might have a more personal connection and could relay a message. I will continue praying and trying to be patient.

Hi girls - Please remember, this was heart surgery... It may take a while before we hear from Dorinda... She may just not be up to getting online and posting right now; or, for that matter, for a while. In the meantime, let's just keep praying for our dear sister. If anyone knows how to contact her, though, it would be really nice if we could send her cards and farmgirl cheer... Does anyone have her contact information? If so, would you be willing to gather up all our cards and ensure she gets them? I would be happy to help with mailing costs, for sure! Hugs - Nini

Oh, dear sister - I will be praying! It will be all right! Peggy is 100% right in everything she said. I know it's scary, believe me, but it will be all right. It has to be! I'll be praying that the doctors have keen insight and profound wisdom in your circumstance, that the Lord bless them with a supernatural talent to find and fix the problem, and that the Lord guides them every step of the way. I'll be praying for an excellent surgery and full recovery, that you'll be healthier than ever, and that the Lord will wash you in and infuse you with His peace and take away all your fears and concerns. And I'll even pray that the nurses and everyone to whom your care is entrusted will treat you with extra love, kindness, patience and pampering, and especially that the hospital food is good and that you like it! ;) It WILL be all right. Modern medicine is miraculous and it's amazing what they can do today. And with The Great Physician working at their sides, well, you can't get any better! I trust He will put you in the best of care!

Here are His promises:

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

"...I am with you always..." Matthew 28:20"

Trust and be peaceful, Dorinda - He has everything under control!

Hugs and love -

Nini
