I have a tea party and a slumber party planned with/for them..
Whoot Whoot, I head out Wed, 7/23 and return 8/5... poor hubby will stay home & hold down the Fort, feed the kitties, clean the litter box and keep my garden watered while I am away,,, I have the Best hubby!

Wow have those little ones grown! Life is good! I retired from Dels the end of April, just so I could do "what I wanted to, when I wanted to"! Lots of yard work, lots of things I'm finding everyday to do, re-connected with lots of old friends, shopping, thrifting, girls night out a couple times a mo. w/high school friends and love being in my old house! Did make a trip through Spokane last fall, but I don't think we even drove through Cheney....was with my brother and sil and we had an agenda! You look like you're a happy camper lady and glad to see it, so nice to not worry about the snow during the winter too...just sayin'!

and got some silly time in with the g-kiddos...
Each morning there would be a sweet little knock at my door (in the trailer).. and it was Leilei,,, so we had chocolate almond milk time and a bit a princess chatting.. then Jaja caught on, so I would have 2 lil girls at my door in the morning... more chocolate almond milk and princess talk... then lil brother wanted to join us, not for the princess talk but because of the chocolate almond milk... lol! so much for my quiet mornings... and would not have it any other way.

Hey Suzie,,, OMG! long time, no chat... like you, we sold and moved, but we moved back to Cali.... I have made 2 trips back to Spokane in the past 8 months... went camping with kpaints down to Elk River, ID.
How's life treating you? do you ever get back to Cheney, or see Karen?
When I flew in 7/23,, I brought that terrible rain storm,,,, I no sooner landed and drove away from the airport... when it turned into a hurricane! Wowzers! w/I 20 min., we heard they were pulling all the boaters of Lake CdA because of the winds! Yikes!

I lived in Airway Heights in 4th grade.
Then we moved to Wilbur, WA in 5th grade
and then back to Spokane in 6th grade.
Then stayed in Spokane until my early 30's.

I can't tell you how many times a year we
use to drive to Spokane the first 20 years
we lived here. Probably 8-12 trips a year. My
husband and I go about once a year now...
but we both could drive from here to Spokane
blindfolded I swear. Plus I have flown there
a lot too.

Like I said, "It's a good place to be from"
and I call it "The Cow Town" that thinks it's
a City. LOL

Hugs & Smiles,
Peggy

Oh Peggy, so true! I think there is gyspy blood running in our veins! lol!

I would hit the Wallyworld over in Shadle Park... cuz they have a fabric dept. and a Jamba Juice in the Vons Market...

I enjoy going back, but 2 weeks is about my limit,, and then I get antsy... and where we lived, West Plains- twixt & tween Airway Hgts & Medical Lake... it was uber windy 24-7... I do miss our property thou!

That is why I left Spokane Grace...my husband and I were sick of the snow!!!
And I have met more people here in Vancouver/Portland area...who live here now
but use to live in Spokane. LOL

I do love Riverside State Park too. I graduated from Shadle Park in 1970 but
the entire time I was in High School Riverside State Park was one of my favorite
places to hike around and just to go there with friends to enjoy an outing.

I swear that Spokane rarely changes. It has very few new additions to it since I
left almost 30 years ago. Unlike our current area...which is always growing and
changing. And my mother lives in the same house that we lived in from the time
I was in 6th grade. How she does it I just don't know. I could never live in one
place that long. I would be bored to tears seeing the same old walls and rooms.

Anyway, enjoy your time there.

Hugs,
Peggy
