Oh my gosh! I just got to watch my nephew graduate! Thanks to highschoolcube.com, even though we live all the way in Pennsylvania and couldn't be there to celebrate with him out in Colorado, we just watched our dear nephew UP CLOSE, accepting his diploma, looking all handsome and grown up and uber intelligent and talented!!! I got to be there VIRTUALLY!!! How awesome is THAT?! The presenters asked everyone to keep their cheers and hoots to a minimum, but I DIDN'T! LOL! I cheered so loudly, the dogs in the neighborhood started barking! LOL! I hope my nephew heard me! LOL!!! My son laughed and said he hoped NOT, because if he did, he would've been totally embarrassed... An aunt's perogative, what can I say? ;)

What a wonderful thing the internet is, isn't it? I SO wanted to be there. But not only could I be there in spirit, I had the best seat in the house and could be right there up close, cheering him on as he shook hands and accepted his reward! So... thank you, highschoolcube.com... I pray many more schools will participate in such a wonderful opportunity to share!

SO exciting!

Well, back to the Commencement...

Hugs - And High Fives and Congratulations to the Class of 2014!!

Nini, I so very much agree! How awesome for you!
So many gparents especially are so afraid of the internet. I get that? But they cheat themselves of that wonderful connection to their family that's out there. I can play online games with gkids while still chatting on our apple products! Never mind FaceTime and skype. Such incredible blessings. And although the handwritten letters etc are still nice........I find today's tech keeps us connected more often , more personally than ever before. To video connect with family far away is an amazing and wonderful thing!!
Love that graduations can now be seen!

Hugs,
Linda

Thanks, girls! It really WAS so cool! Now I'm going to have to see if they do this when my son graduates next year! If so, I may stay home to get the up-close view! LOL! JUST KIDDING!!!

Yes, they sure do grow up fast. Seems like just yesterday my nephew and son were in the playpen together. Now they're driving cars, checking out girls and heading off in new grown-up directions! So exciting!!!

That's wonderful Nini! Isn't it exciting to see our nieces and nephews grow up? Love that you could be there virtually. I'm so far from my nieces and nephews but am thankful for Facebook. I keep up with them virtually until I can see them again. Congrats to your nephew!

Farmgirl hugs,
Nicole

Front row?! I was standing right next to him, reading the diploma! I got a better view than his dear old Mom! LOL! Oh, Peggy - I really hope this kind of thing catches on. I've never heard of any local school or any of the ones back home in New England doing this! It would've been so great to go - that would've been my first choice - but traveling isn't possible right now. I was so bummed. When she sent me the link and info last night, we were so excited! :) Next best thing to being there! :)

Really and truly, Heather - the internet can be such a wonderful thing! When I graduated, nobody was there - not even my parents (long story)! But now his entire family, who live all over the country, could be there to celebrate! I just wish I could've taken pictures. Just as they transferred their tassels, they panned the students and there he was in all his graduate glory - it would've been a beautiful shot! Oh well... I just hope that my sister took plenty of photos! :)

Thanks for the congrats... He has an amazing future ahead of him! They all do!!!
