Posted - Apr 21 2014 : 12:06:57 PM Seriously...any FarmGirls have even a hint of green?? We went for a glorious Easter drive and just about all the photos I took resembled those I took in the dead of winter when the snow let up for a few seconds :). I NEED green! There are not even buds on our trees yet, though I do see the neighbors daffodils peaking out. Just the green stems, no flowers yet! Today is a PERFECT day. Went for a drive in our newly acquired Jeep with the windows open and the radio blaring. For a minute there I forgot my 49 birthday is this summer...felt like I was 20 somethin' . Watcha up to in your neck of the woods? Here are some bare naked trees taken the other day .

Posted - Apr 22 2014 : 09:24:22 AM Just got home from Vermont after spending a long weekend & Easter with my mom and cousins - no green up there either and still a few snow banks in shady areas.
Donna - we'll try to get together soon. Do you ever get down to Baer Motorcycle near Walmart? My boyfriend and I will be there this coming Sunday making homemade ice cream for their Spring Open House. If you get a minute, stop by!
Hugs, Luanne

Posted - Apr 21 2014 : 1:17:26 PM We are greening up nicely here. My peach and pear trees have already bloomed and my pecan tree is starting to green up. I've had to mow the lawn twice. We did have a freeze about a week ago so I'm taking my time putting my veggies in.

Posted - Apr 21 2014 : 12:45:30 PM Donna, If we were to drive in the mountains we wouldn't see any green, but down lower around the house and countryside we do have green. In fact, I think I'm going to have to get the lawnmower ready soon. Every spring our lawn starts looking really shaggy because some of it is longer than the rest of it. Our aspen trees (at the house) are leafing out and all of the fruit trees are in bloom! We, in the southwest part of Colorado and the US have NOT had the snowfall that most of the country has had so we are praying for spring and summer rains. We are trying to get through a severe drought!!! I'm sure the green will show soon at your house! Hang in there! CJ
