Posted - Apr 06 2014 : 8:55:07 PM I just read that Mickey Rooney has passed away at 93. I remember him in "National Velvet" and years later, another horse story, "The Black Stallion". His career spanned 80 years. He got his start in silent movies--can you even imagine? He was truly one of Hollywood's greats--and there aren't very many left. He entertained the troops during WWII. And he seemed to genuinely enjoy acting. He will be missed. Cindy

Posted - Apr 07 2014 : 10:48:59 AM I read he was in his father's vaudeville show at 17 months old and that is where his career begins. He had an amazing life. Gonna miss you Mickey! Hugs Marlee
