I just read that Mickey Rooney has passed away at 93. I remember him in "National Velvet" and years later, another horse story, "The Black Stallion". His career spanned 80 years. He got his start in silent movies--can you even imagine? He was truly one of Hollywood's greats--and there aren't very many left. He entertained the troops during WWII. And he seemed to genuinely enjoy acting. He will be missed.

I'll bet when he hit Heaven, Judy Garland was there and said "Hey Mickey, lets put on a show!"

I read he was in his father's vaudeville show at 17 months old and that is where his career begins. He had an amazing life. Gonna miss you Mickey!
