Posted - Feb 06 2014 : 11:51:03 AM My grands love to create with greeting cards. They make little scenes inside small boxes and then give them for ornaments. That is, if the cards are xmas cards.....My mom always used last year's xmas cards for use as gift tags the next year. Yours are great!

Posted - Feb 06 2014 : 11:28:25 AM Oh Nancy, You have given me some great ideas for my own sewing and craft room. How nice everything looks. I couldn't keep an area that neat no matter how hard I try. Guess I have to many projects going all the time.
You have beautiful cut outs. I'm sure you will find many great uses for them. Some might look good as bookmarkers. Place them on card stock and laminate them and add a ribbon. You have already been given an lot of great ideas. Enjoy them!

Posted - Feb 05 2014 : 04:26:47 AM Beautiful cards and tins! Love the ideas Nini and Peggy gave. In fact I have so many shoe boxes of cards that I think I will get them out and put them in scrapbooks for the grand kids to look at and me too when I want to enjoy my cards again. I have the perfect spot to store them and it will free up the space they are taking up right now in my cedar chest. You all are so creative.
Nancy Jo~ what is the spot where you have them displayed for the picture? Is it in your craft room? Wondered if it was a sewing desk. I see all your jars and things on the next shelf. Love it!

Posted - Feb 04 2014 : 5:33:55 PM Nancy Jo...I have to agree with Nini, there are so many uses for them. When ever I mail a letter or Package (especially) I use the Pretty Fronts of Cards to decorate along side the Name and Mailing Address. In fact I just did that last night to another Farmgirl. Then I take really nice clear packaging tape and tape over them (the card and address) , so rain, snow etc doesn't ruin them.
Also, I use to put the complete cards in scrapbooks for my children (now my granchildren) just to look at when they are visiting. My Grandmother did that for us kids when we were little and we always drug those scrapbooks out...when ever we went to visit her. That is where I got the Idea.
Love and Hugs, Peggy

Posted - Feb 04 2014 : 10:27:05 AM Wow, Nancy! AWESOME!! Those are also great for decoupage, scrapbooking embellishments, NEW card-making, ornaments... You can also put your favorites in a picture frame as a collage! I like to use them sometimes to decorate tins and boxes for gift-giving, too. Give them to some kids in your life, along with colorful markers, crayons, yarn, glitter and more - THEY will come up with AWESOME things to do with them, for sure! There are all SORTS of things you can do with them! Hold onto them - they're good as gold - especially for rainy-day creativity! :) Hugs - Nini
