Posted - Jan 21 2014 : 6:05:19 PM Its been a long time since I was on here, have missed everyone, so many things have changed my life, I finally have retired, I think after going thru such horrific times with my mom and dad for two years and then losing them within six weeks of each other, it just changed my outlook. My mom kept telling me to enjoy life now that one day I wouldn't be able to. I was at work one day last summer and all of a sudden I thought I don't like to do this anymore .So I just closed the doors bought a camper and took off to camp, Since then I spent a wonderful week in Colonial Williamsburg, a week in Texas with my grandson, getting ready to go back to Texas for two weeks in Feb.The granddaughters and I are planning a cruise soon. I want to spend a week at KY lake this summer go some blue grass shindigs and oh gosh I just want to do fun things.Have almost all the antiques sold will have another big orchard sale in the spring and the rest goes to an auction. Am going to build another room to the house or am thinking about buying a house closer to my daughter but still keep the farm. Sterl would never be happy to give the farm up, but I think its practical to think about our future now. I had to leave my home to take care of mom and dad and that's not easy. AT SOON TO BE 69 I AM STILL HOPPING AROUND LIKE A RABBIT, even if its an old one. I haven't sewed in over a year except pillows for the wounded soldiers.after that order I said no more. One day I will get back to my dolls . I have missed all of you .

Posted - Feb 23 2014 : 6:56:52 PM Dana! I too, remember Wilma's generosity with such fondness. That was such a good time. Of course, I have to bring up the bra show! I have since acquired a few decent boulder holders, but I will never forget all of us showing our bras at breakfast.

Posted - Feb 23 2014 : 5:17:40 PM Hey Miss Wilma!!! Lord have mercy, Eva and I talk of you and that magical gathering at your farm so many years ago with such fondness!! I, too, have been away from here and cared for my mother till her passing in 2011. Hard times when the child becomes the caregiver. But I LOVE how you have taken life by storm and are getting out and about!! How did you all stay warm with the crazy winter? Atlanta has been crazy as well, but I like snow!

Posted - Jan 23 2014 : 05:58:13 AM Hi Wilma! If the deep freeze ever goes away, we'll be down to see you and Sterl. You know we'll help if you decide on another gathering. It sure was the 'best day of my life'. Loved it so much! Did you ever go visit your friend with the teddy bears and dolls? Haven't seen you since the homespun christmas sale. Miss you like crazy.

Sometimes you have to do for yourself, so you can be strong to do for others. And we all know how much you do for others. Anyway its so nice to hear from you and know that you are out and about and doing fun things. Good for you!. Nancy Jo

Posted - Jan 21 2014 : 7:20:48 PM Thanks Diana, its not all fun but I went so long and hardly did anything but work,I just want to spend the rest of my life doing things with the grandchildren, my husband and my children, I don't have to spend a lot of money to enjoy life, I know I don't have many years left probably to have lots of energy and good health. My husband of 51 years is beginning to slow down now to, we sold all the cattle and lease the farm now.
