Hi, I just wanted to share my wonderful news!!! I got engaged on my birthday, my 52nd birthday. It was so romantic!! We had reservations at a very nice posh restaurant in the Adirondacks on Sunday, the weather was not very nice, so everyone else that had made reservations for that day cancelled and we ended up having the restaurant all to ourselves!!! We sat by the fireplace and Gene got down on one knee infront of me and asked me if I'd marry him. I am so very very happy, just had to share.

HUGS!!!! Georgette

Congrads. I know the feeling of wanting to be engaged and not having to be married. I waited 10 years for my dear hubby to ask me and then took 2 to marry him. Congrads again. I am so excited for you!!!!!! Isn't being in love wonderful.

Pray for our troops to come home safe and soon.
Enjoying the road to the simple life :>)

Congratulations, Georgette! A long engagement sounds quite romantic to me - what a wonderful thing for you both. And after helping to plan your daughter's wedding, you'll have it all down pat for your own!

XOXO, Libbie

Oh thank you so much everyone, I've missed you all......but I just don't seem to find the time to spend on the computer! No date set as my daughter finally set the date for her wedding which will be August 10 of next year so planning for that will take precendent (did I spell that right?) At any rate, I guess I don't feel the need to get married, just wanted to be engaged, as silly as that sounds. I had a colonoscopy yesterday and decided to take the day off from work today to recuperate not that I really needed it, but wanted to hang out at home today! Thank you again yall for the congrats, now I know why I've missed you!!!
