Okay, so it wasn't really a Samhain gift, but it arrived yesterday and i finally managed to stroll down to the mail box this morning.
Catherine sent to me the sequel to the book Wicked, a marker for it, a really neat pencil and eraser, some vintage Halloe'en postcards, a little Halloe'en treat bag and some Halloe'en stickers for Grace.
What a nice treat on Samhain!

Oh good! Sorry, I haven't visited here in too long again. :) I'm glad you got the package and I'm glad you liked it!
Gregory Maguire is the author of all of these books (Wicked, Son of a Witch, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, Lost, and one about Snow White that I can't remember the name of...). He's amazing! He writes "the other side" of fairy tales that we all know. I mean, the Wicked Witch of the West may not have been evil, just misunderstood? Wonderful take on old stories!

Wicked is about the life and times of the Wicked Witch of the West. It is fabulous and I loved every second of it. The next book, Son of a Witch is the sequel....

I've read Wicked and also the sequel, Son of a Witch. They're both great!
