Posted - Oct 30 2006 : 8:50:01 PM So you call the mall kid photo studio to have a sitting at 4:30.
They say great we have an opening, all is good you think you will miss the mad rush on Halloween when everyone trick or treats the mall. You get the kids ready and get there 15 minutes early so no one takes your spot.
At 5:45 oh we can take your photo now. Only one person has taken photos in that whole time and they had one kid ( four shots done). I have no clue why the wait.
We take photos wait about 30 minutes to see them on the computer screen. Don't know what the photographer was thinking as they have a digital camera and should have been able see my middle child's eyes where closed in all but two photos out of ten.
Wait another hour or more take photos again as we wait for two other families to take their photos haven't a clue what three employees where doing while one was taking photos. Take photos again now it is about 7:30 p.m. another family takes photos.
So in three hoursof waiting and three times watching Disneys's Robin Hood movie over and over four families including ours have taken photos.
Now at 7:45 my pictures should be printed but they aren't because the machine just broke. Oh when do you think it will be fixed. We don't know. We can mail you your photos in about seven days.
This is just ridicules. I just ordered 13 sheets plus a cd. So I say fine the kids and I are tired. They don't even offer a free photo so I ask after all this and they say oh yeah I guess you can have that.
I got them in my email already just not cropped and formatted with words like I designed them to be but oh well here is one. So much for the tradition of always having a new picture on the wall on Halloween day I guess I will be fine with one on my blog for now.
Just so we know I purposely left out the company name as they usually do a great job. So i really don't want o give them bad press as I like the company a lot and will use them again.
The reason I am grumpy is usually from start to finish iss less than 30 minutes and I can drop off the photos at grandmas on the way home. Since the photo place is 25 minutes one way and 25 minutes back and grandma in between. I guess I should get use to the way things use to be with the long wait and take one photo oh hey I think I did that today. All I need now is mercury poisoning from the photo chemicals.
The ones they sent me in email I posted on my blog along with this tantrum just to get it out of my system

Posted - Nov 01 2006 : 08:12:39 AM Thank you I don't have much choice on if the kids are cute or note that is all Gods doing.. Thank you for the compliment on the bonnet. My husband was shocked when I put it up for sale. He said you made that yeah and I never made it for a family member just for fun so it sits in a drawer doing no good. So I hope who ever does decide to buy it loves it too. As I thought about that for a few months because I like it so much but then I figured I can always make another.

Posted - Oct 31 2006 : 05:35:16 AM Sunshine, I will go look at the photos but you should not have had to wait that long. Perhaps a call the the manager or higher up or even an email will save someone else from having to go through the same thing you did. That just sounds WAAAAY wrong: the waiting while they let other families go is not right.
Glad you got your photos done though!! ETA: ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS and mama, for those gorgeous pics of the children I would have waited too!!

Posted - Oct 31 2006 : 04:56:54 AM What a day! I don't know how you could endure for that long -- my head would've exploded.
The photos are f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c!! Wonderful keepsakes.
Hopefully the memory of the long day will fade . . . and you'll have these adorable photos forever. |

Posted - Oct 30 2006 : 10:57:00 PM Hi Sunshine, The photos are adorable though - worth the hassle - and the costumes are divine. Very pretty - my daughter wants to be a dead person for her 'scary' birthday party that is coming up - your girls look much nicer!! Which is my daughter's penpal, so I can show it to her? She is currently writing another letter. Best wishes, Jayne |
