The first night that it's dark enough after dinner to start the holiday season off "Officially" in my house! I love the light from them, so soft and peaceful. What do you do to officially start your holiday season motor going ?
I'm off to make popcorn and pick some silly movie...I'm angling for Pride and Prejudice and then I'll be back to mint tea by the light's dainty glow.

Posted - Oct 26 2013 : 9:25:37 PMI have been listening to Holiday music and having holiday movies on during the day when everyone is gone.
In Michigan, November 15th is the opening day of deer season. Every man alive is gone to hunting camp for 2 weeks. that is when I pull out all my Christmas decorations and the girls and I get all the decorating and cleaning done. We eat junk and don't cook. Then we have a ladies night out for dinner and some shopping.
Sounds corny, but it is a MAJOR event in our neck of the woods. Arttie
