Okay, thought this would be a fun post. What are your pet peeves, the little things that just bug you, make you nuts? For me, at the top of my list is getting the bottoms of my long sleeves damp. If I wash my hands or do dishes and get my sleeves even the slightest bit damp, I can't stand it! I have to go change my top, I can't stand that feeling. For my dd, she goes bonkers when the timer on the microwave is blinking, the way it does when someone pushes the door open before it is done. Bugs, bugs, bugs her. What are yours? Please keep this thread fun and light, nothing about other people.

Farmgirl hugs,
Nicole

This thread is a hoot and a half!

While reading it, I have been reminded of things that bug me but I had forgotten they bug me. I think I'll be on edge for the next few weeks.

I almost peed my pants laughing at TammyC's chihuahua's little monkey hands - seriously. I tried to read your post out loud to my husband but couldn't stop laughing, to the point he had to ask if I was alright. I kept picturing a chihuahua peeling a banana and that is a pretty silly picture.

The wet sleeve thing definitely way up on my list. Now a "newish" one is people in the grocery store slooooooooowing way down when they walk pushing their carts....because they are busy texting.

Jenny,

I have a book of short stories written by and for knitters. There is the funniest one in there about a woman who spun yarn from her dog and made a sweater. It was beautiful until she got caught in the rain...and smelled of wet dog! So funny!

I hate when you have to punch in your SSN or telephone number for a call to insurance or cable service and then the first thing the customer service rep asks you for is that same number...

Being in stocking feet and stepping in a wet spot that was not wiped up.
Talking going in church when in the....."SANCTUARY". (they call it that for a reason)
Cold coffee or tea because I gone to do something else before getting back to it. :(
Have to stop there, everything else involves other people as in the church post.

I cannot stand it when my DH puts stuff in a place where they do not belong. Before my eye surgery, I had very blurry vision and had to rely on my memory to find what I needed. Unfortunately, someone didn't always put things back where he found them. GRRR!

Jonni, our chihuahua licks her paws constantly, they look like monkey hands...and the licking noise totally grosses me out...ick!!

And, on the subject of parking...when I'm waiting patiently for a spot, blinker on, and a car from the other direction just cuts me off and zips right in....grrrrr! I see red!

Dresser drawers not pushed all the way in, dining table chairs not pushed all the way in, closet doors not closed all the way!

Sharone I just reread the last part of your post cause I didn't understand it until my friend explained it to me. I thought I was gonna laugh myself right out of my chair. You crack me up on that one. What a hoot for sure.

I also change my shirt if my sleeves get wet from chores or dishes. I can't take it either.

I was thinking this post would be about quirky things we girls do or that bother us, and not so much what gets us annoyed by other people but if we are on the subject, how about DOUBLE PARKERS, especially in a crowded parking lot? Oh it irks me.

Sherone!!! LOL!!!!

Lisa & Sharon - What about dirty dishes left in the sink or on the counter when it's only two more steps to just open the stinkin' dishwasher door? Oy yoy yoy! LOL!

Jonni - Oh my, that licking sound is obnoxious! Our doggie does that all the time lately - we realize it's a nervous thing for her, but geesh! My husband always asks her if she would like a spoon... Ewwww!

Marie - Yep! Puddles and smears left on the counter - or floor - drive me nuts, too!

Hugs -

More pet peeves that bug me: sliding screen doors not closed all the way, even with the door. It looks tacky. And ugh! Crooked hanging pictures. I have been known to even them out at the doctor's office and restaurants.

My all around top pet peeves are people who are "close talkers" and men who look at your boobs instead of your face. When men do that, I put my head down by their junk and talk to it.

I cannot stand it when the dirty dishes are strewn over every surface in the kitchen instead of neatly stacked in a compact arrangement.

I cannot stand it when DH stacks a larger dish on top of a smaller dish. This is not compact or safe.

I really cannot stand the puddles of liquid left on counters. UGH!

I cannot, cannot stand it that DH is so clean aware that a towel dropped on the floor goes immediately in the laundry. It's still clean enough to use!!! Jeez!

Try everything once. The fun things try twice.

Lisa, wet socks is another one for me...bugs me! And Sharon, the CD's not put back in the right case, yes, that is annoying. But the biggest bug for me is the wet sleeves. That just makes me cringe.

Almost full cans of soda left...on almost every surface in the house.

Dog's licking and taking baths. Our pibble mix and our beagle have this habit of licking and taking baths...for what seems like hours on end right under your feet and I cannot STAND the sound of licking.

When someone asks you if you're well and you say, "well, actually, no..." and then they talk over you with their laundry list of woes!!!!
