This is the story of Esther and how she saved her people by her bravery. Also a beautiful love story. It took at least seven years for the two main characters in the movie to get together. I wanted my daughter to see that if you wait on God for the right man, you will be blessed. Anyway, I loved the costumes and jewelry, head dresses, crowns etc. If you love beautiful clothing go see it!
My daughter, who is 23, says the acting was not that good (she is artsy and probably harder to please than I am)...I thought it was fine. I loved the backdrops, very romantic.
Good one to take your daughters to see in my opinion.

From the trailers they are showing on tv about Marie Antionette looks like the costumes and romantic backdrops in this movie are beautiful! It is directed by the daughter of France Ford Copola. I saw her interviewed this morning and she has used some modern music in it...appealing to a younger set, I guess. Maybe like the movie "A Knight's Tale." They use modern music in that movie too. I'd like it better if they had not done this, I think. But I am an old fashioned girl. I will go to see Marie anyway...eye candy for sure if you are a visual person.

Anyone else seen " One Night With the King?" What did you think?

I am interested in that movie, do you think my 14 yr old daughter, who does love the Lord would be interested?

A friend of mine got a postcard in the mail announcing "One Night with the King." I will tell her your thoughts! Thanks, Susan
