Yesterday I was given an opportunity to ask forgiveness from a dear friend whom I have missed terribly. 8 years ago, I was to meet her at restaurant several hours from my house. I was getting married and she couldn't attend but wanted to meet for lunch. It was set up well in advance. On the day we were to meet I called to let get know I was on my way. Well she had to work and forgot. But she was going to try to get there. Well I went anyway. She never showed because she couldn't get out of work. I was angry and hurt. My day was wasted. Never spoke to her again but over the years I thought of her more in fondness than anger. Yesterday, I found her on Facebook so I took a chance on messaging her. She finally realised who I was. We are now speaking again. I felt like a piece of me was missing during those 8 years. Please, no matter what the situation, try to forgive no matter how long it's been. If God can forgive you for worse, can you forgive not only your friend, family member and yourself?

Lorena, That is so wonderful. It can be hard to forgive, but we all need to do it at times.

Good for you. Sometimes it is hard for us to forgive but it really is so important that we do.

Good for you Lorena!!! I agree wholeheartedly. I have found that if we don't forgive, it will harbor bitterness and we are the ones in bondage. It is such a relief to take that step in forgiving and move on so relationships can be healed.
