I kept running out of drying racks and spaces to hang laundry inside, so I took two brooms and put them across 2 chairs.
And of course, after I did all that, today would have been a great day for drying them outside.
Crazy weather....

Posted - Aug 13 2013 : 2:52:04 PM lol Kristina I had my husband put up a clothesline for me.... it's been taken over by the birds and the post has become the garden hose hanger and all my clothes pins are now chip clips & feed sack clips... I do believe I even saw the husband using a clothes pin as a paper clip!! Men...LOL

Posted - Aug 10 2013 : 08:46:24 AM At the time I did this, I already had my one shower rod full of shirts too. Ha ha ha! I was pressed for space that day. I'm still without a dryer, so I best get laundry outside. It's a good day for drying.

Posted - Aug 06 2013 : 06:11:16 AM I just love your idea and picture Kristina. I too have run out of clothesline space. In my garage I have two long rods that are hooked up under shelves that I can use hangers to hang up clothes and a drying rack. What ever works right?

Posted - Aug 06 2013 : 04:47:18 AM I told Hubby I may need an emergency clothesline put up on my front porch now. I need more space for bedding now. I could put one up in the garage too.

Posted - Aug 05 2013 : 05:29:22 AM Great Idea Kristina. And everyone else who shared. I have a drying rack and have hung things on the stove door handle in a pinch. I consider it a great way to not only save money, but energy. My kids gripe about the fact that our area does not have enough people to recycle, but do not approve of my ecological economical clothesline. Phooey on them!!

Posted - Aug 05 2013 : 05:20:50 AM I think that is very creative Kristina. They will dry as long as they hang somewhere right? When we had our wood stove in our front room I hung shirts up from the chandelier. It worked and that is what mattered plus they dried fast due to the wood stove going in the wintertime. :)

Posted - Aug 04 2013 : 12:13:23 PM Great idea! I'm usually doing laundry after work, so I don't have much opportunities to hang our laundry outdoors. Always looking for creative ways to dry clothes indoors!

Posted - Aug 03 2013 : 6:21:00 PM Wow, these are great ideas ladies. Thanks! I have hung shirts on hangers and hung them from my ceiling fan in the spare bedroom and that particular fan uses a chain and cord instead of being attached into a light fixture so I use the chain to hang them on too. Not to many because it would be to heavy but in a pinch it has worked for me. I also have a use drying rack I got in Lancaster from an Amish place. I like the idea of the shower rod in the pantry and the two brooms across the chairs. Reminds me of the episode of The Andy Griffith show when they were going to have company and Opie was going to sleep on the ironing board between two chairs. He called it adventure sleeping. LOL!

Posted - Aug 03 2013 : 1:09:49 PM Thanks for extra ideas ladies. I do have a clothesline in my utility room, but it's basically for lighter weight items.
I could not dry anything outside (until today) due to constant rain for days (and I don't have a dryer, it was fried when the lightening ignited the propane fire).
I had clothes hanging everywhere inside - ha ha ha!

Posted - Aug 03 2013 : 11:48:23 AM Kristina Great idea, when I needed more space I just used an old shower rod I had around the house, and put it between two walls in my pantry. It works like a charm for me. No money in these things makes us all so happy I bet.
